Peaceful was the very word Penelo would have used to describe the setting. Even with the loud shouts and laughter that rang out over the breaking waves and seagulls, this place held a serenity that no other place could compare to, and she'd seen her fair share of two worlds.
Walking like this, hand in hand with Edward felt familiar, and comfortable. Not that anyone would ever replace Vaan in her life, but the bard did fill that close companionship role in her life. Only without the need to nag. Not that she could explain how they'd grown close so quickly, but she suspected it had to do with all that they shared in common.
