This was the life. Rinoa relaxed on a sun lounger, soaking up the rays. Behind her sunglasses, her eyes were closed. She could hear the waves lapping gently against the beach in the background. It was as though the dragon invasion had never happened.

A group of holidaymakers passed by, laughing and joking as they headed for the sea. Rinoa sat up to take a look around. Hmm. Maybe it was time she went for a swim. But first she needed to reapply her sun cream. She smoothed back her hair and picked up her bottle of sun lotion. Now was there anyone around who might want to help?

"You and Penelo are really joined at the hip, huh?" There was no jealousy in Rinoa's voice. She was just glad that both Mjrn and Penelo had found solace in their friendship after losing Reks and Vaan. And whatever had gone on with Larsa too. If anyone needed a good friend to rely on, it was those two.

There was a moment of silence as Mjrn nodded. "Aye. Her presence has been a great comfort to me. I can only hope to return this favor." A small smile formed. "And now it seems we have added a bard, as well."

"A bard?" The tide had taken Rinoa a little too far out. After trying to stand and finding the water was up to her neck, she began swimming back towards the shore. "You mean Edward?"

Mjrn met her about halfway, not minding the detour. "Indeed. His home is Troia, yet he too has a longing for travel and adventure." And something else, but the Viera wasn't likely to mention it. That wasn't her secret to tell.

Finding her feet again, Rinoa waded towards the beach. "Is he here?" She shaded her eyes, scanning the shore.

Mjrn nodded, likewise glancing around. "He is...somewhere. I saw him, not very long ago. Perhaps he is with Penelo now."

Rinoa nodded back. "I'll catch up with-"

Before she could finish her sentence, her foot snagged on something slimy. With a shriek, Rinoa toppled over, throwing up a plume of spray as she went under the water.

"Rinoa!" Alarmed, Mjrn headed over and reached out to help her up.

Rinoa grabbed onto Mjrn for dear life, clinging on as she came up for air coughing and spluttering.

"Oops." If she hadn't been soaked before, she was now. Her hair was drenched and she'd swallowed more salt water than she would have liked. "Stupid seaweed."

But it didn't take long for Rinoa to see the humour in the situation. She started to laugh. "S-sorry, Mjrn. I guess I gave you a fright, huh?" She was still leaning on Mjrn as she looked up at her.

Mjrn nodded, though she smiled in relief to see Rinoa resurface. "You are unharmed?" She looked Rinoa over, but relaxed a bit as she only seemed drenched.

Rinoa stepped away carefully, nodding back. "Just annoyed! I think I wanna go dry off now. Coming?"

"Aye. It seems a good time to seek refreshment, as well." Mjrn nodded, wading out of the water.

Rinoa followed her, breathing in the fresh air with relish as she made it to the beach. She was happy to let Mjrn lead the way to whatever refreshments she desired.
