This was the life. Rinoa relaxed on a sun lounger, soaking up the rays. Behind her sunglasses, her eyes were closed. She could hear the waves lapping gently against the beach in the background. It was as though the dragon invasion had never happened.

A group of holidaymakers passed by, laughing and joking as they headed for the sea. Rinoa sat up to take a look around. Hmm. Maybe it was time she went for a swim. But first she needed to reapply her sun cream. She smoothed back her hair and picked up her bottle of sun lotion. Now was there anyone around who might want to help?

Edge shouted out after Rydia, "Wait for me!" He then came running out of the airship behind her, his eyes fixated on her... hair.

Rydia pretended not to hear him for a moment, then smirked as she turned around. She knew exactly where his attention was straying, which was just fine with her. That was part of the point of wearing it, anyway.

She tilted her head, pretending to give his idea some thought, then shook it. "Nope. I guess you'll just have to catch me, instead." And with that, she sprinted toward the water.

Rinoa shaded her eyes as she watched the newcomers approach, and grinned as she recognised Rydia and Edge.

"Hey, guys! Glad you could make it!"

Edge was caught a bit flat footed, but he raced after Rydia. "Guess so." As intent as he was at catching Rydia, he didn't readily notice Rinoa until she spoke. Without breaking stride, he answered as he readied to pounce Rydia. "Hey there Rinoa!"

"Hello, Rinoa! I'm glad you suggested this!" Rydia laughed as Edge gained ground, and tried to pick up the pace, still within range of Rinoa. Why make it easy for him?

Rinoa watched them race past, bemused. "Hey, where are you going?" She didn't want to be left out of the fun.

Edge barely had to time to answer Rinoa, "I don't know about you, but she's getting tossed into the water!" He wasn't sure what Rinoa's thoughts on the whole subject were, but he couldn't resist a chance to team up with someone as he shouted, "Wanna help me?"

Grinning, Rinoa gave Edge a thumbs up, then broke into a sprint as she chased after the pair of them. Running along the beach in the bright hot sunshine, the fresh sea breeze cooling her skin... She laughed with the pure joy of it.

"Hey! No fair!" Rydia laughed and tried to keep ahead of Edge and Rinoa, but she kept glancing over her shoulder back at them. She approached the shoreline, certain that she could beat them to it, but was forced to slow down when other beach-goers got in the way. Nonetheless, she tried weaving around them but it was likely that they could catch up to her now....

Cecil watched on from where he stood near the water, amused, as he heard their shouts and spotted them rushing forward. This was a game he was definitely not going to take part in but more so watch on from the side.

Having the choice of the Paladin on the fringe or the two scantily clad mages near the water, there was no doubt where Edge's attention lie.

He though Rydia might have had too far of a head start when she ran into the crowd of people. Pleased that his luck had not run out he came at the summoner from the opposite side of Rinoa placing special care to grab her arms. Any other time or place he might have accidentally missed but today was not one for taking chances.

"I hear the water's rather warm today. Wanna check it out?" he teased to Rydia.

Rinoa caught up with Rydia a moment later, and gave the summoner a knowing wink.

"Why don't we let Edge find out?"

And with a grin, she nipped past Rydia and grabbed Edge's other arm. Rinoa was short and not particularly strong, but she anticipated that with the pair of them pulling him towards the water, he wouldn't struggle too much.

Rydia laughed, glad to see the stables turned. She nodded and moved enough to grab his arm, hoping Rinoa's surprise move would throw him off enough not to make that difficult. Then again, she couldn't imagine that Edge would truly protest.

"You can test it for us! Hi, Cecil." Rydia spotted him and winked, then continued.

If it were guys that turned the tables he'd be ticked off, but being held by two gorgeous ladies was like a day in heaven.

Edge laughed heartily as the ladies banded together, "You two better not leave me alone for long!"

Rinoa's reply to that was to give Edge a hefty shove, hopefully with Rydia's help knocking him into the water.

Oh, Rydia was eager to provide her help. She shoved Edge none-too-gently, chuckling as she did so.

Edge could enjoy a good joke as much as the girls. As he was shoved into the water, his only act of defiance was a last ditch effort to grab the wrists of the girls as he flung forward. He simply did not wish to be in the water alone.

It worked on Rinoa; jerking forward, she lost her balance and fell right on top of Edge, hitting the water with a surprised squeal. As water filled her mouth, she automatically clutched at the nearest solid object to try and pull herself up - which just happened to be Edge, of course.

Cecil blinked as the group neared the water. And as soon as Edge went down and brought Rinoa (at least so far) in with him, he just stared. "Is she alright?" he called to Edge, beginning to make his way into the shallow water, feeling the waves lap up against his calves.
