This was the life. Rinoa relaxed on a sun lounger, soaking up the rays. Behind her sunglasses, her eyes were closed. She could hear the waves lapping gently against the beach in the background. It was as though the dragon invasion had never happened.

A group of holidaymakers passed by, laughing and joking as they headed for the sea. Rinoa sat up to take a look around. Hmm. Maybe it was time she went for a swim. But first she needed to reapply her sun cream. She smoothed back her hair and picked up her bottle of sun lotion. Now was there anyone around who might want to help?

Mjrn's smile lingered at that kiss to her cheek. "Aye, but I would not wish you to think that I take such things for granted. Ever since...ever since I realized how quickly and entirely all could change, it is more important than ever to inform those dear to me that I appreciate them."

Blank set his feet flat back on the sand, enjoying the feeling of the water lapping at his ankles. A slight blush painted his cheeks. "Just being able to enjoy your company is all the thanks I'll ever need."

For a moment, Mjrn wasn't certain of what to say. She wasn't quite sure what she had done to earn such a bond, but it touched her, and she made another, silent, promise to always be worthy of it. "You are always welcome to join me, Blank. If you were not aware of this before, know it now. And if you should ever need someone to listen, I would be happy to do so."

Blank smiled, cheeks darkening through his blush as he turned his attention back out over the water. "Thank you, Mjrn. You've no idea how much that means to me."

Mjrn watched him curiously, then smiled a little. "Regardless, it is true. I worry about you, as well." And she felt there was some justification for that. Still, she was reluctant to mention Tantalus unless he did. The last thing she wanted to do was bring down his mood.

"No need to worry about me, Mjrn. I'm a tough little cookie. I'm used to taking care of myself. All part of the job." Didn't make him miss Tantalus any less though, and it was probably a lot easier to read him than he intended it to be.

For all that Mjrn could be oblivious or naive at times, there were moments where she could be rather empathic as well. She stared at him for a moment, then nodded a little. "I am certain you are quite adept at that. Even so, you need not always manage alone."

"You're far too sweet for your own good, Mjrn." Blank smiled one of his bright smiles and reached to take hold of Mjrn's hand lightly.

Mjrn smiled back and did not pull away. She was just happy that her presence helped somehow. "You are kind to say so...." Then she glanced away from the waves. "Might you join me in attaining refreshment?"

Blank gave a nod, releasing Mjrn's hand from his own. "Refreshment? Now that, Mjrn, is a wonderful idea!" He gave her a smile, running a hand through his hair somewhat nervously.

"I am glad." Mjrn smiled and then moved away from the waves, ready to see what there was in the way of refreshment around Costa Faguita.
