Balthier could not have invoked a better name; mention of Zidane always made Garnet soften a little, trust a little more. He may have been raised a rogue and a thief himself, but Zidane's selflessness and virtues were ones she admired and respected. That he had made efforts on Balthier's behalf had her considering the situation even more closely. Of course, he could have been lying...

But it sounded far too much like something Zidane would have done.

I cannot lift a price from your head outside of my own borders, but I can make suggestions." She was queen only of Alexandria -- what the rest of the world felt or accused him of, was beyond her jurisdiction.
