The entire time he spent battling the fiends, Ramza kept glancing over towards Reis out of worry. This battle would have been much easier if Agrias and Mustadio were with him. With Agrias' skills as a Holy Knight capable of clearing a path between them and the monsters, Mustadio's skills with the pistol would have easily picked away at the beasts with little effort. However, they weren't with him now. Instead, he had to rely on these two dragoons to distract the fiends from Reis so he could dispatch the beasts that came near. As before, Ramza leap into action.

Once Mjrn rained restorative items down upon the heads of the bloated zombies, Ramza rushed forth with steel at hand. Swiftly, the boy dispatched the nearest Whale Zombie with what seemed to be little effort or no effort at all. The Phoenix Down snatched the bulk of the Whale Zombie's health, harming it critically. It was then that the sharp edge of Ramza's blade cut through its side as he raced past. Slicing it from head to tail, Ramza snatched his blade from the beast's hind as it crashed into the ice. He landed upon the snow a tad breathless, but still full of vigor. Ramza wiped his blade off briefly upon the snow before darting towards the fray once more.

With Kain was preoccupied with another fiend once Mjrn's magic reached him, Ramza sought for another beast to kill. Previously Reis and Mjrn felt the brunt of the Blizzaga spell cast by a Gigan Octopus nearby, so the heretic picked one of those to kill. Their magick were lethal towards them, so the quicker they lulled to death, the better. Rushing forward towards the nearest one, Ramza's blade met with flesh once it tore through the long tentacle of the hideous monster. A loud wail erupted from the beast, one that didn't last for long once the heretic's blade struck it a second time. However, just when he was about to take his leave of it, a painful whirlwind of ice nearly shattered him.

Another one of those green-hued octopuses struck, and much like the other, it was blasting magicks at whoever was near. Ramza fell to his knees, the black spikes of his armor covered with frost.
