Vincent's automatic reaction, when he first spotted the imp, was to reach for his gun. By that point, however, Rishfee was already moving to headbutt it. So, instead of drawing the gun as was still his first reaction, he took the bow, and fired it at the creature, remaining toward the back of the group.
