Protecting My Devotion - Group 6

Characters: Cid Shido, Firion, and Fran
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: What's worth fighting for.
Location: Memoria
Date: 11th March, 1805.
Warning: None that I can think of, but we shall seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Cid had had a few weeks away from the network to recuperate from the mission to save Edgar, fixing up his ship, tuning his pack, everything. Then he noticed a haze come over him, pinkish in degree. This feeling felt familiar in someway, but before he could re-act he found himself someplace else, he never thought he would be. Back in Wonderland.

He looked around and saw nothing around him, but also that he had no gear with him as well, including his sky phone. He sighed as he yelled out, "Hello!? Is anyone here?"

He had a feeling he had gone through this once before...and the last time was harrowing enough. But he had to endure this time.

"Memoria feeds off of memories, hence the name. It plays them out so real it is easy to lose yourself within them and forget they are not real. Last time it drew on everything from our dreams to our fears. Although there was no physical harm, it was emotionally draining."

"Pleased to meet you, Cid, though I would've preferred better circumstances. I am Fran."

Fran understood Cid's sadness, she lay a comforting hand on his shoulder. They needed to stick together if they were to get through this with as little emotional scarring as possible.

There was an unease lingering over Fran - that fear in the back of her mind of not knowing just what Memoria would drag up from the pit of your deepest memories. Some things were not for public broadcast. Although it seemed those travelling with could only see the setting and not the detail. That, at least, gave Fran some small peace of mind.

She followed Cid, preparing herself for whatever may come, be it a glimpse of her own past, or of her new-found companions.
