Ellone noticed the portal closing before anything else. She'd spent so much time here in this cave that it was nearly impossible not to notice the tiniest thing these days, the smallest difference. A lot of that time had been spent watching over Marlene and making sure she was okay and not bored or in danger at all. Her promise to Tifa hung over her head. If anything at all happened, she was more than prepared to protect the little girl.
