They had spoken over the device; he was safe and well, charged with the challenge of delivering Lulu's baby. Cloud was right, they would return to their loved ones, and the thought spread warmth through her, just as the fire had done.

He was also right to suggest she should be examined, a nod signifying her agreement - but examined by whom? No-one else was aboard, were they?
