Her voice was firmer a moment later. "But we won't abandon anyone. I know at least Eiko is on this continent and there's others stranded with her. Doubtless there's many others scattered across the towns here. No one will get left behind." Well, unless they wanted to be, but that was different.
There was nothing she could do for Cecil, as much as it tore at her. At least she could still help others.
