A grin crossed Reno's face and he unzipped his jacket, tucking the cat inside and zipping it up until it the cat's head was the only thing visible. To say he was in a good mood was an understatement. He and Rude were on good terms (absolutely great terms actually), he'd had a lot of fun in the fight and he now had a cat. And Reno really did like cats. Dogs were nice enough, but they required a lot more care. Cats would ultimately do whatever they wanted.
"Tseng won't need to worry! Besides, I'm an adult, he ain't my Ma." Chuckling, he kept one arm around the cat, his other hand reaching to cup Rude's cheek. "You're the best," he murmured, his smile still in place as he gave his partner another kiss, walking down the alley a moment later, shaking his head a little to shake some of the water from his hair.
It was still raining and, despite the set of claws pressed into his stomach, Reno couldn't hide the smile he had. In fact, he was pretty damn happy right then.
