On the one hand, Zidane could understand what she meant about not wanting to bring extra pain to someone she considered a friend. On the other hand, this Vayne had tried to steal his girl, and Zidane wouldn't have been at all upset about some pain coming to him. Maybe even an extra swift kick in the shins to make it worse.
