Characters: Rydia, Kain, Delita, Mikoto, Vie
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: Escorting Vie
Location: Conde Petie
Date: January, 1803
Warnings: Not likely.

The trip from Guadosalam to Conde Petie hadn't been too lengthy or difficult. Fortunately, Rydia had experience traveling around the Outer Continent and with Kain and Delita to aid their passage, she wasn't worried about any obstacles thrown their way. As for Vie, she did her best to make him feel at ease, even though she doubted he would truly relax until safely at home. Poor child, she couldn't blame him. The sudden arrival must have been even weirder for him than it was for them.

Upon reaching Conde Petie, Rydia attempted to pass, only to be blocked by the dwarves. "Rally-ho!"

The Summoner then remembered their insistence on visitors repeating the greeting and smiled as she did so, waiting for the others to do the same before entering the dwarven village. She hadn't thought to ask about Mikoto's appearance, but figured she would find them or Vie would spot her, so it wasn't an issue.

This was more complicated than Delita could fathom. If there was an exchange of people, did that mean his Ivalice was overrun with new inhabitants as well? He wondered if returning home, would present more nobles abusing the people. "'Tis with trepidation that I wonder if our own worlds have received greater impact than we comprehend."

"You say that you observed one person vanishing, just as another appeared?"

Mikoto looked between them, a glint of something in her eyes -- a tinge of emotion to her previously stoic demeanor. "I have not yet heard of such an occurrence... but if it is as you say, then there is perhaps the possibility that this is not limited to Gaia. It stands to reason, that those who vanish from Gaia, are going elsewhere... and that elsewhere just may be in replacement of those who are arriving here."

Why hadn't she thought of that before?
