We're all living in a Memoria world!
Characters: Irvine Kinneas, Denzel, and Lazard Deusericus
Progress: Complete
Summary: All three taking a trip down, memory lane!
Location: Memoria
Date: February 1st, 1804
Warnings: None as of yet, I mean Denzel's there for Kefka's sake!
The cowboy was asleep when the glow bathed him over, and when he awoke, he found himself close to the sea, in a place he found very familiar. Irvine jumped up and asked, "Wh-what? This place...it can't be! How did..." He was confused and shocked at the very fact he was back...back at the orphanage he grew up in.
Quickly the SeeD looked around and shouted out, "Selphie!? Selphie? Squall? Quistis? Zell? Rinoa? Matron? Nida? Anyone!?" Then a low murmur came out last that sounded like "Seifer?" However he still hadn't noticed the two other people there with him.

He looked around at what had occurred and the area around him. All he was was Denzel looking at the cowboy. Irvine blinked as he asked, "Tha-That wasn't really there...was it?"
Well, he certainly felt like a fool.
no subject
He offered Irvine a smile, jogging ahead. "Come on, Irvine! Let's keep going!!"
no subject
A shake from his head as he said, "Right, I'll lead." He caught up with the boy and moved forward.

He once more ran on ahead of Irvine. As the room once more shifted, they found themselves on the outskirts of Midgar – along the vast wastelands overlooked by the cliffs. All around Denzel were dead fiends and soldiers that just gave off a 'bad guy' aura. And in Denzel's hand was a sword.
Cloud walked up beside him, clasping a hand onto the boy’s shoulder. "Well done, Denzel. You saved everyone. You really are a hero."
"Me? A hero?" He looked around to see Tifa, Marlene, Shelke and all their friends. Even Eiko, who came over and kissed his cheek.
But just as soon as the scene had appeared, it began to fade away.
no subject
He knew what was going on, but he was still worried about this whole thing.
no subject
He rubbed at his face, trying to get his blush to go away.
no subject
He was joking with the boy, of course, but it was good to see things were a little bit better now.
no subject
"I'm not a hero. That wasn't a memory. it was... a dream. I want to be a hero just like Cloud."

The room once again, began to shift and alter as Irvine stated with a groan, "Not again!" The scene shifted and altered to what looked like Balamb Garden's main hall, but damaged and tire treads on the floor. He looked around and stated, "Balamb? Bu-" Denzel vanished from Irvine's view as all of a sudden, Galbadian soldiers and Balamb Soldiers fighting against each other."
The cowboy looked around as some troops from behind him. In his hand was his gun as he started shooting them all. "Damn it! I gotta get to the others!" Irvine rushed around the walkways of the garden shooting enemies as he saw.
Of course in reality, Irvine was shooting an imaginary gun and running away from Denzel.
no subject
As Irvine ran off shooting his imaginary gun, Denzel flailed slightly, running after him. "Irvine! Wait up!!" Damn grown ups with their longer legs and fast running! "Don't leave me behind!"
no subject
He looked up and yelled out, "Stop playing games and show yourself!" He had enough of this mind trip!
no subject
He reached up to take hold of Irvine's hand, looking up at him. "I wonder who is doing all this..."
no subject
They continued to walk down the halls, as Irvine looked at the boy and added, "You holding up okay?"
no subject
He really didn't want to see anymore bad things. He just wanted to go home now.
no subject
Not a famous saying, but it was somewhat right for the situation.

"Your call to Sector 7 cannot be completed at this time." The operator’s voice kept repeating the same phrase, over and over again. With a growl of frustration, Denzel went to throw the device on the floor, only to notice it had a missed call. Scrolling through the list, he saw numerous missed calls all from the same number – 7th Heaven - and dialled it.
It rang and he freaked out, hanging up instantly, only for the call to be returned. He answered it, holding the phone to his ear.
"Cloud, what a surprise, you never call. Is something wrong? … Cloud? " t was a woman’s voice on the other end of the line.
"No, ma’am…" came Denzel’s timid reply.
"Well who, then? Why do you have Cloud’s phone? "
"I don’t know. " Tears began to well in Denzel’s eyes.
"Who is this? " The woman seemed ill at ease.
"I don’t know, please… I don’t know what to do. I can’t do this." He dropped the metal pole to the floor, sobbing softly.
"Hey, are you crying?"
Pain tore through Denzel’s body as an attack of Geostigma hit him. The phone fell from his hand, hitting the floor as he dropped to his knees, black ooze gushed from his body, pained cries escaping him.
"Hello? Are you okay?! Cloud, if you’re there, pick up!" The woman remained on the line, yet Denzel could hardly hear her voice anymore.
He lost consciousness, and as he came too, a man with blonde hair was running towards him. "Hey! You okay?"
The next few minutes were a blur, but then he was seated on the motorbike. "Tifa said to take you home, kid." The blonde climbed onto the bike. "Grab on."
Denzel felt weak and drained, flopping against the man’s back. The man pulled Denzel’s arm around him, holding onto the boy’s trembling hand.
As the vision faded, Denzel’s hand instantly shot to his forehead to check that the stigma wasn’t there anymore.
no subject
He simply asked, "Denzel? You okay?"
no subject
He got to his feet and once more dusted himself off. "Time to keep moving?"
no subject
Irvine was curious though as he asked, "What were you checking for though?"
no subject
He looked up at the older, taller male. "I bet you couldn't see it, huh? All the black ooze..."
no subject
The room began to flicker and change again as Irvine sighed and complained, "Oh come on! Haven't you done enough?" However the room became something of an empty sight, with two chests in the middle of the room. The cowboy blinked then leaned over at Denzel and asked, "This anything from your memories?"
no subject
Denzel looked around the room, before shaking his head. "No, I don't remember a place like this at all." He let go of Irvine's hand to run over to the chests, poking at one, finding it didn't fade away. "What do you think is in them?"
no subject
Slowly the SeeD unlocked the chest, then he mentally counted in his head, before quickly lifting up the chest and diving down in front of the boy. No explosion...no nothing. Irvine looked up and back at the open chest and replied, "Okay...no bomb...guess I chose right, right?"
no subject
He settled back on flat feet and poked the other chest. "Do you think the bomb is in this one then?"
no subject
Irvine looked inside the recently opened box and replied, "The hell?" He reached into the box and pulled out a very stylish and well crafted bow from it. He blinked and replied, "Denzel, are you seeing what I'm seeing...cause I'm seeing a bow." For all he knew he was looking at something this world is conjuring again.
