Night slowly crept across the city of Lindblum as a shadow in a blackened cloak walked the streets, hiding his face from plain view. The shadow was the villain everyone had known about, the crazed magical clown Kefka. However, he was capable of hiding himself in plain view, they knew what he looked like, so all he had to do was change that. Walking around the dark streets, Kefka was contemplative of what had happened, as he thought, "What an interesting turn of a events, from the forgotten land of desolation, to my own mindscape, then finally to this place where airships are quite in stock. If I weren't a god, I would say that this was done by someone higher than me."

Kefka escaped looking out on a bridge overlooking the airship yard from a distance. "All is going according to pla-" Just then a man stumbled into Kefka and yelled out, "Hey Buddy! Watch where you're go-" Before the man could finish the clown had grabbed the man by the throat and stated, "There is something I wish to prove, I think you'd make the perfect example." His hand began to flicker and spark as a surge of electricity coursed through the other man's body killing him and slowly roasting him instantly. The clown dropped the body and added, "Good...I'm not in that mindscape after all."

Some people had gathered to watch but Cloud turned to shout at them. "Run away! Now!" His voice was loud and commanding and once they'd gone he focused on Kefka, who'd gotten up and started flinging magic.

Jumping to miss most of it, Cloud took a lot of it against his blade to stop it from hitting the walls and destroying the things around them. It hurt. It really, really hurt but Cloud refused to let Lindblum be destroyed like he let Nibelheim and Midgar be destroyed. He wouldn't let anyone else die.

Being hit by all the magic was, however, giving him the adrenaline he needed for Omnislash, and if Kefka kept this up he'd be in for a total finishing move, the very kind that had beat Sephiroth when Kadaj had turned into him.

"Why? Because people deserve a chance to live their lives to the fullest. I wouldn't deprive them of that for my own selfish needs!" Cloud panted, holding himself up on his sword. He could almost hear Zack's voice telling him to get up and keep fighting. Cloud was wavering. Badly. He was trembling in pain.

You can defeat Sephiroth, right? So this guy should be no problem! Kick his butt, Cloud.

Forcing himself to his feet, Cloud took a deep breath, wiping the blood from his eyes that had ran down from a spiteful gash on his forehead. Running at Kefka, he used the flat of his sword to smack the clown into the air, his sword glowing blue with energy and splitting into six pieces, encircling Kefka. Launching himself up, Cloud used each blade to strike Kefka, darting between them to hit him. Once he slashed the last blade down against Kefka, Cloud fell to land on his feet, holding himself up on his main blade as the others fell to slam into the ground.

"I'm done with you. Just crawl back into whatever hole you came out of."
