Hearing her condolences, Zidane let out a quiet little sigh and smiled appreciatively in her direction, though he didn't offer any more information just yet. Seemed like an awful lot of weight to place on the shoulders of a virtual stranger, that was all. His problems were his problems, and she seemed like she had plenty enough to worry about just being misplaced here the way she was without any knowledge of Gaian customs or anything.

And she was so nice, too. Nice people got taken advantage of around here, Zidane knew. He wasn't about to let that happen to her. Anyone who tried on his watch was liable to get a knife in the back-- Though, judging from that bow she was so casually slinging around, she was no pushover herself.

Zidane, though, he knew the unsavory types inside and out. (Uh, being one himself helped, but that was aside from the point. Tantalus lived by a code, after all.) He'd put a stop to would-be culprits before they even finished thinking the thought.

"...er, what're 'Humes'?" Zidane asked after an awkward pause, scratching the side of his face as he puzzled over her words. "There's lots of different stuff in Treno. You've got all the classy noble stuff, then you've got the street vendor stuff around the card stadium and stuff, and, well, then there's slum food but that's no place for a lady."
