Ever since the end of the dragon attack, Kain had avoided the castle, mainly out of a need to stay distant from Edge. That didn't mean he wouldn't go there if he had to... and since it had been a while since he'd seen Cecil, he felt he owed it to him to come.

Arriving at the castle, he headed in with a purposeful stride and glanced around. He found himself hoping that this time's meeting wouldn't end disastrously. He sighed to think of all the other times he'd somehow let Cecil down... especially going overboard during that past training session, something he was glad Cecil seemed not to remember since his return.

As promised, Cecil was awaiting him within the main hall, leaning up against a pillar with his arms crossed and a thoughtful expression on his face. Perhaps Rosa was right. Perhaps he really did worry too much and push himself with work. Maybe they were in need of another vacation to a beach, somewhere where they could be alone again - not that they hadn't spent that night alone upon returning from the vacation prior.

Hearing the steps echo in the hall, the paladin lifted his head and looked over. "Kain." He straightened away from the wall, arms lowering to his sides. "Welcome back to Troia."
