Marlene had been watching the Sphere Break competition for some time now, Sure, it was a great game, but unless you were playing it, watching generally got to be quite boring. Plus, Marlene's math skills weren't up to par yet, so it just made her confused as well. Sighing, she got up from her seat, moving to wander around a bit.

She needed to do something fun, something that got her running around. Suddenly, an idea. Tag! She could run around, and if she saw people she knew, she could just rope them into a game too.

Now. To find someone to play with...

Speaking of 'People Marlene Knows Who Would Probably Play Tag', there's Rikku standing on the edge of the Sphere Break competition, bouncing from foot to foot. She's got a big grin on her face, and occasionally is shouting out advice to the players...it doesn't seem to matter which player, she isn't exactly being picky.

She would've been in the tournament herself, if she hadn't been busy when it had first been announced. Still, she could vicariously compete through other people, right?

Score! Someone she knew! Marlene quickly ran over, stopping to stand next to Rikku. "Hi Rikku!" She paused for a moment, thinking on how to ask.

"Do you wanna play tag with me?"

Rikku half-twisted away from the Sphere break tournament to wave at Marlene, but her attention was still mostly on the game. At least until the younger girl mentioned the word 'tag.'

The Al'bhed practically beamed. "Sure! I love tag."

Marlene lit up. Score! This was going to be so great. Rubbing her hands together, she reached over and tapped Rikku's leg.

"Tag, you're it!" And then darted off.

Rikku burst out laughing as the little girl tapped her leg and then took off into the crowd. She waited, counting to ten before she started after her.

Of course, it wasn't as easy for her to navigate all the people, since she wasn't a tiny thing, but she managed, slipping through people and under arms and occasionally bumping them out of the way as she ran after Marlene.

"I'm gonna catch you!"

Rikku thought she could catch her? We'll see about that! She darted between someone's legs, then curved around another couple, laughing all the while. Tag was one of her favorite games, so she was beginning to become quite an expert at it.

"Not if I can help it!"

Rikku was racing after her, doing her best to duck and weave but sadly she wasn't as small as the child. Although honestly, she probably could be when she scrunched up, she was still pretty tiny in general.

"You can't! I'm gonna-*WHAM*"

Ducking past some poor person in the crowd she slammed bodily into a massive man and bounced off, blinking a couple times in surprise as she almost fell over. "I am so sorry!" She said brightly, bouncing back upright. And then she ducked past him and was off trying to locate Marlene again.

Marlene stopped for a moment, gaining her breath. Between laughing and running, she was losing it fast. She looked quickly, trying to find where Rikku was. She had just seen her!

She was careful, trying to be on the lookout.

Rikku was using her amazing thief skills to sneak around through the crowd, all sly-like, and when Marlene made the foolish decision to stop and look around, the Al'bhed struck!

She darted out from between two people and scooped the little girl up, giving her a grin as she held her in the air...and promptly tickled her. "Got ya!"

Marlene squealed, laughing. Dang it! She squirmed in Rikku's arms, her hands pushing at the tickling fingers.

"No tickle, no tickle!" But it could barely be heard with how she was laughing.

"Hey, I won, I get to tickle!" She said, though after a few more seconds of this she set the girl down, grinning wildly. All the running caught up with her too now that she suddenly wasn't moving, and she flopped down on her rear, grinning at the girl.

"Wow, you're fast!"
