[Thread; Semi-open]

Characters: Rosa and anyone in Troia who helped with the pirate situation
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: Rosa thanks everyone for coming to her aid
Location: Troia
Date: Early Feb
Warnings: Vayne being a creeper? None really for now

Cecil's departure had very nearly set Rosa's world upside down. In fact, she had come to wonder how she was still upright. Rydia's arrival had been a blessing, as the summoner had practically forced her to sleep and even though she'd slept fitfully, at least she'd rested some. Something was always better than nothing.

She'd done what she could for the people of Troia, following Vayne's strategical suggestions thoroughly. Once reinforcements had arrived, the pirates had been conquered and Rosa could now rest easily. As soon as she had finished patching up those who had been injured in the subsequent battles and made sure the citizens were all right still, Rosa knew she needed to thank those who had come to her aid. Without them, she and the town of Troia would have been overrun in a matter of minutes.

So, she'd issued an order for everyone to either meet in the middle of the town or to allow her to find them. With any luck at all, those who had assisted her would allow her this one final request.

((OOC: feel free to create separate threads or whatever you guys feel like doing. If you need a Rosa specifically, specify that you're looking for her, or I'll just assume she found them to thank them.))

He held up a hand to forestall the formal title. "Please, I insist that you call me by name. There is no need for formalities here. In these lands, and my own, I am nothing more than a public servant." Vayne glanced around, taking in the city which had been spared a naval invasion and nodded firmly. "I am relieved to see our endeavours successful. However, if you will forgive me saying, you appear weary. All must rest after their labours."

Rydia shrugged, ready to downplay any exhaustion on her part. She was a little disappointed that it showed despite her attempt to hide it, but the summoner was never that great at concealing her status. "Now that the crisis is over, I'm sure rest will be had. However, my first priority is Rosa and her welfare. Once she has done so, I'll get around to it." A change of subject was needed. "I thought I heard someone say that you departed from Narshe. Is this true?"

"Indeed. I was paying a brief visit to my younger brother who has taken up residence there." Larsa was supposed to be taking over governance there as well, but seemed to be dragging his feet about it. Working with some elder struck Vayne as particularly weak-willed, but alas, there seemed to be no sure for Larsa's naivety.

"It is quite cold. Much as I adore my brother, I must confess that I found departure to be preferable. A shame it was under circumstances such as these."

Rydia wrinkled her nose a little at mention of the cold, and nodded. "Still, I'm glad you came to our aid quickly enough. Without it, this struggle would have been much more difficult." She didn't want to think about Troia needing help, but her pride wasn't so great that offered help was held in disdain. "I'm not fond of the cold either, but I'll have to travel to Narshe soon, anyway. At least I know there will be a familiar face around."

"He will welcome the company, I am sure. Might I inquire what business takes you there?" Rydia certainly did not particularly strike him as a miner, nor one who embraced snowsport for a leisure activity.

Rydia didn't mind the question at all, and there was a slight knowing smile. She could guess easily enough that he didn't think her the type to visit the snowy mining town for fun. "A Lunarian airship from my world arrived there, somehow. It doesn't belong exclusively to me, but I would see it brought here, in case Rosa or myself or any other friends settling here have need of it."

"Lunarian?" he inquired. It was not a term with which he was familiar. Some different species or just a nationality? "If it is an airship, it would indeed be beneficial to have available. Rosa can use whatever benefits and assistance is at hand."

"That's the idea." Rydia had other uses in mind as well, but even though Vayne was amiable and helpful, she saw no reason for him to know them. "Lunarian is a term to mean the people from the moon. They're like humans, but more advanced than those in our world. The airship is of their make."

She shrugged, not certain she could explain much further without the Lunar Whale being around. Instead, she grew curious. "So, are you to stay a while?"
