In order to avoid Kefka showing up and destroying the place, Yuna and Tidus had kept the date and the preparations, on the whole, very on the down-low. So far Kefka hadn't actually gone to Luca, that they knew of, and neither of them had made big announcements about the date over the network. Most of the city knew, of course, as well as their friends, but they hoped that was as far as it had gone. Still, most of the wedding party had weapons in reserve, and the guests probably did, too.

But the wedding of a High Summoner was a Big Deal to native Spirans, and the fact that her groom was her Guardian and a skilled Blitzball player definitely drew more interest, leading many of the people in the city who hadn't gotten invitations to show up anyway just to try and catch a glimpse. There was no formal reception, but a large spread of food had been set up down the beach just a little ways, guarded from thieves and onlookers by more Blitz players until the ceremony was actually over. There was also a small musical group off to the side, playing various melodies for whomever wanted to dance. It was a social gathering, mainly, a time to talk and mingle, meet new friends and say hello to old ones, and maybe play a prank or two.

Just not on the newlyweds, please.

"H-hey!" But Rydia was laughing as she was startled into speaking up. She didn't squirm out of his grasp, though, letting him get away with his heroic rescue, depending on the point of view. Once they entered the Lunar Whale, Rydia flashed him a teasing grin. "Impatient, are we?"

Having to spend an entire evening staring at the woman before him had indeed given him cause for impatience. The last few days had been rife with giant slaying and wedding preparations. There hadn't been any time for them to be alone.

Rather than respond to his damsel with more words, he loosed his passion upon her in a kiss that spoke of his feelings for her.

Half-expecting a snarky comeback, Rydia was pleasantly surprised when Edge didn't deliver on that and instead went for a kiss instead. When his lips touched hers, she forgot about anything else she might have said or was going to say, instead returning it with equal enthusiasm and passion. Hopefully no one would need them for a while....

With everybody here still enjoying the festivities, Edge was confident that they would have plenty of alone time to fill the evening with. While at some point he might be concerned about their friends returning, his attention was privy to the one fare summoner before him. His eyes danced with the idea that Rydia would choose him over her good friend's wedding reception.
