In order to avoid Kefka showing up and destroying the place, Yuna and Tidus had kept the date and the preparations, on the whole, very on the down-low. So far Kefka hadn't actually gone to Luca, that they knew of, and neither of them had made big announcements about the date over the network. Most of the city knew, of course, as well as their friends, but they hoped that was as far as it had gone. Still, most of the wedding party had weapons in reserve, and the guests probably did, too.

But the wedding of a High Summoner was a Big Deal to native Spirans, and the fact that her groom was her Guardian and a skilled Blitzball player definitely drew more interest, leading many of the people in the city who hadn't gotten invitations to show up anyway just to try and catch a glimpse. There was no formal reception, but a large spread of food had been set up down the beach just a little ways, guarded from thieves and onlookers by more Blitz players until the ceremony was actually over. There was also a small musical group off to the side, playing various melodies for whomever wanted to dance. It was a social gathering, mainly, a time to talk and mingle, meet new friends and say hello to old ones, and maybe play a prank or two.

Just not on the newlyweds, please.

"Thanks!" She grabbed for his hands to drag him over where the adults were dancing. "C'mon, let's go over here."

Denzel happily took Eiko's hand, letting her guide him wherever she wanted. He had learned early on in life not to argue with women because they would always win.

"Do you want to dance?"

Eiko nodded eagerly. "Yes! With my favorite boy only."

Denzel hoped that Eiko did actually mean him and not some other boy. He grinned at her and led her to a space amongst the dancin couples, wrapping an arm around her waist. "Can you dance okay in your clothes?"

"Yup! They're really heavy, but I can do it." To be honest, she wasn't all that convinced she could dance in the robes. Did summoners dance at weddings? She didn't know and got irritated with herself not to see if it was in a book somewhere. The child was so proud of her heritage, but as the years rolled by, she wondered more and more about all the things she didn't know.

But! She was a quick learner and seeing the adults engaged in a romantic-type dance, she mimicked the other ladies and put her head on Denzel's shoulder.

Denzel looked around at all the other couples and held Eiko close to him as they swayed to the music, trying his best to mimic what the adults were doing. Not that it really mattered if they got it wrong as long as they were having fun!

He pressed a soft kiss to the tip of Eiko's horn, smiling at her.

Eiko squirmed a little from the kiss. It tickled! She used her horn to listen just as much as she did her ears, and it was very sensitive. A little-known secret that she never really shared, but it started her giggling. And blushing too because Denzel was her boy and very sweet and nice.

Eiko's giggling caused Denzel to giggle too. He found Eiko's horn fascinating, in fact he found everything about Eiko fascinating - even if she was overly bossy most of the time.

He grinned, leaning in to kiss her cheek instead. "Your cheeks are red."
