Characters: Genesis Rhapsodos and Cid Raines
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: Genesis heard about the destruction in Lindblum and decided to backtrack from Dollet. However, on his way there, he happens to spot andamsel in distress acquaintance at Pinnacle Rock.
Location: Pinnacle Rock
Date: July
Warnings: Not sure yet. >_>
Genesis decided to take a different route as he flew back to Lindblum. No doubt whomever was being destructive was long gone by now and while he doubted there was a need for him or any extra help (he had yet to hear a call), he wanted to see anyway. After all, it was a l'Cie who did this and he had often wondered what they had been capable of. After all this time, they had done nothing. Until now, that is. But he had a feeling it was done of purpose, what with the shifting job classes in select few people. Genesis didn't know the cause for that nor if there was a target to specific people are not. Thus, what is the l'Cie where they same? They were Sky People as well.
In the end, they were all just people. Even him. Monster or not, wing or not, he was a person. It was still hard for him to really accept it but... well, it was much easier to get other people to believe it rather than himself. Angeal nor Sephiroth knew this, but Genesis figured he owed them that much and would spare them the internal guilt tripping. There was no harm in it, none that he saw, in any case.
After a time in the air, Genesis touched down and pulled out an apple, crunching into it and taking in his surroundings. Despite the people not liking the Sky People, despite Gaia herself not liking their presence, this land was peaceful. It was everything his Gaia was not. It was flourishing with life, the people lived in a far simpler way, even with the backwards technology (though it seemed to be growing with every day), and really, he wondered if his own Gaia would ever regain its beauty he knew it had before ShinRa.
"Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee..."
He trailed off as he heard something not too far off. Genesis took flight to investigate.
