Locke waits for everybody to settle in for the night. It was too loud and noisy that evening to really talk to Celes. It had always been much easier out in the fields by the fire after everyone else had went to bed. But before talking to her, he had something he needed to do.

He disappears out of the castle for a few minutes searching for just the right combination of flowers. It's important that he picks the right ones. It takes him longer than expected as he carefully chooses the perfect spot for each one. After completing the bouquet, he can't believe how familiar it looks to him. Unbeknownst to him, he has picked an identical set as the last time. He begins retracing his steps to Celes' room and is surprised by its familiarity. His steps slow as every step closer to her door brings his memories closer to the surface.

He stands for a bit before her door, shyly hesitant to knock his cheeks flaming with that familiar tint of rouge. Finally grasping the courage to knock as he had done so frequently before, his memories begin to break loose. Visions blur before him as the bouquet droops to his side amidst the weight of these revelations.

[The monastery itself was easy enough to find and get through - the small airship that Edgar had commandeered from Figaro had good speed, but even with an airship it wasn't until almost a day after Locke's attack that they reached the monastery. The pilot managed a pinpoint landing outside the building, and Edgar lead the charge inside, autocrossbow at the ready and spear at his back.]

[The necrohol was something different - dank and depressing, not well-lit. Sudden ambushes by monsters were never fun, either, and Edgar turned back to look at the group that had come to rescue the ~~thief~~ treasure hunter.]

We need to split off to search - no one go alone, and be sure to keep your Sky Phones turned on. It might save your life.

Locke had spent the entire evening restocking his supplies in preparation of a trip to Ipsen Castle. He had been so distracted by his quest that he barely noticed Celes' return to Figaro. It seemed that they were never in the same place at the same time. While he should have went straight to bed and waited until later to see the Magitek Knight, he tightened his bandanna and wandered his way over to her room.

He spent much time debating upon whether he should wake her up or leave, when he finally mustered up the courage and knocked on the door.

Locke watched as Rydia slowly lowered the Lunar Whale to the ground. Why did he have to travel by ship? He was thankful that his seasickness was workable on an airship. He was shocked by the size of the castle before him until he realized that with the limited access the treasures could be extensive.

He turned to Rydia, eyes dancing. "That place is huge. I wonder what's in there!"

He began to pace the floor wondering just how long it was going to take her to land the airship. There was treasure out there, just waiting for him to liberate it.

Summary: A big party for a small girl. Yep, it's Eiko's birthday and she's having a ball.

Nobody could say that Regent Cid wasn't generous when it came to his adopted daughter, Eiko. In fact, some said that he was too indulgent. But on this, the evening of Eiko's tenth birthday, the citizens of Lindblum were ready and eager to celebrate. A free ball! Free drinks, free food, and a free pass into Lindblum Grand Castle. Many had failed to acquire tickets in time and were disappointed, but the lucky few piled eagerly into the castle.

Security was tight, and every single guest was checked by the guards before being allowed to enter. Once inside, they would find a wide and sumptuously decorated ballroom. A small group of musicians played slow and ambient music, while the party guests swayed across the floor dressed in all their finery. What could only be described as a flock of moogles flew or scurried around the room, offering glasses of champagne and various sweet treats. Regent Cid himself sat on a grand throne at the head of the room, nodding graciously at the guests who came to pay their respects.

The ball was already in full swing, and the party would go on for a long while yet.

[ooc: Don't worry if you didn't comment to Regent Cid's earlier post requesting tickets. Handwaving is just fine if you want to hop in. It's party style - go tag and mingle! Thread jumping and ninja tagging is encouraged.]

Locke was thinking about Sabin's arrival, Kefka's disappearance, and other mundane things when the sky went pink and shimmered. He knew this place. This was the Opera House where they met Impressario.

He couldn't believe how little it had changed. He had thought it would have been destroyed by Kefka, but here it was. He remembered the staircase, the red seats, and the dressing room where Celes had transformed into Maria.

Today was turning out to be a great day. He was looking forward to checking on his friends when he spotted two other guys.
