The Demon gave no verbal response to Kefka's shrieked insults. It did not appear before him with a snarl of anger and gun blazing, not even when Kefka began to drink the potion in order to heal his wounds. Head-on tactics are not getting the demon far in this battle, so it has decided to try something else for the moment.
Instead, Chaos is diving at Chaso from behind, streamlining itself, to attempt to escape notice until the last possible moment, fangs bared in a silent smile. As soon as it is close enough, Chaos raises the gun, and fires once more, straight at Kefka's head.
