Indeed, Rydia would be right about Kain's need to take his frustration out. Not that it would entirely resolve the matter, but perhaps it could get rid of much of that anger. He winced and struggled to keep back his opponent... and then his motions became much less pained once Rydia cast her magic.
A couple of the remaining bandersnatches ran off, and Kain would have been tempted to chase were he alone. But there was still the one he was dealing with, and the one going after Rydia as well. He blocked an incoming attack and struck it in return. That didn't slow it any, though... clearly the strongest were the ones who'd remained.
