"My name's Denzel!" He scrunched up his nose a little at Irvine's words. "It musta been kind of nice to see a happy time again..."
He swung his arms at his sides, looking around. "Maybe we should keep walking? I gotta get back home. My friend is waiting for me!"
He started to walk, the area around themm shifting. And now... now he was stood in the entrance of the Shin-Ra building in Midgar. He looked around, blinking, obviously confused. The building was in pristine condition, not destroyed by Weapon, or Meteor or anything. More confusion hits him as his hand is taken by that of his father – not Cloud, but his real father. Abel, who worked in Shin-Ra’s Third Business Department.
The boy held onto his father’s hand. "Now, Denzel. I need you to be on your best behaviour today. Remember, you are an upstanding, upper class citizen, so no running around like those children in the Slums. Shin-Ra prides itself on discipline and honour, do you understand?"
"Yessir!" the boy beamed, giving his best salute, before walking at his father’s side towards the Exhibition Room. Once inside, all words about not running were forgotten as he ran across to where a Hardy-Daytona stood proudly on display. "A Hardy-Daytona!!" The boy was in awe, all previous confusion now forgotten. "It’s so cool, I want one when I’m older!"
But then something even more impressive caught his eye. SOLDIERs returning from missions. And not just any SOLDIERS, but SOLDIER 1st Class! Denzel wanted to be a hero like them so bad! "Woah~"
