Denzel's voice began to fade away as Irvine was alone in this place nervous and breathing heavy. A crack of thunder struck down as he saw fallen bodies on the ground. Still alive, but badly hurt. All of which he recognized. His eyes widened as he rushed over to them and yelled, "Squall! Rinoa! Quistis! Zell!" He saw their bodies with cuts and bruises, Rinoa with flam marks on her back. He looked around anxiously and yelled out, "Selphie! Where are you!?"
Just then a sickening laugh echoed through as a thunder bolt struck down, revealing a shadowy figure holding the brunette by the throat. That figure, was Ultimecia. The sorceress cackled at the SeeD and replied, "Foolish child! You thought you kould defeat me? You thought you had the strength, the kourage. Now you will be the one to watch the error of such a foolish act!" Irvine was completely stunned, trembling with fear, he begged to her, "Please, let us go...don't hurt us." The sorceress laughed again as her hand pulsated with heat, finally igniting her hand. Then a final word echoed, "Know...that their deaths, were by your hands!" The cowboy lunged at her and yelled out, "No! Wait!" But before he could reach her, the brunette was lit aflame right before his very eyes, hearing her screams of pain and agony. The cloud lit up with thunder and lightning that struck the rest of them on the ground burning and electrifying them. Irvine yelled out, "No! Stop it! Stop it! Damn you stop it!" He tried to rush over to the other, tripping upon something (which in reality, would be Denzel)as he collapsed to the floor and listened to them screaming in pain hearing their voices accusing him for their deaths.
Irvine was completely broken. His eyes began to tear up, his body trembling as he just shook his head and stated repeatedly, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."
