It worked, to an extent. Her cheeks took on a rosy hue, and her face screwed up into something just a bit perturbed. Fully dressed now, she turned to face him again, hands on her hips. Despite his best attempts, she was not in the mood to play that game; she gave him a look that could have withered roses.
But after a moment, it softened. Her hands slid off her hips, and she strode forward to join him on the couch.
"I'm a terrible person," she said, quite plainly, as she sat down beside him, her gaze in her lap.
