This was the life. Rinoa relaxed on a sun lounger, soaking up the rays. Behind her sunglasses, her eyes were closed. She could hear the waves lapping gently against the beach in the background. It was as though the dragon invasion had never happened.

A group of holidaymakers passed by, laughing and joking as they headed for the sea. Rinoa sat up to take a look around. Hmm. Maybe it was time she went for a swim. But first she needed to reapply her sun cream. She smoothed back her hair and picked up her bottle of sun lotion. Now was there anyone around who might want to help?

It honestly didn't take long for Edward to spot the long-eared girl, but once he did she was welcomed with a grand smile. "Mjrn! You're here!" It was good to see her alive again, especially after all the horrors they faced within Narshe. It was a miracle to see the poor woman alive, just a true miracle that he hoped would never need to be performed again. Losing Mjrn during the havoc hurt not only Edward who was her newest friend, but Penelo as well. News of the Viera's death shocked everyone, even other friends that Edward met weeks ago.

"I trust all is well, Mjrn. Life upon the coast certainly seems more cheery than life within the icy slopes of Narshe." The bard honestly detests that kingdom, but not only for the cold. Edward wasn't very fond of its ruler, not fond at all of the young man who rules there. He wasn't sure if there were any reason for him to dislike Sir Larsa, but something about the man honestly irked him.

To that assessment, Mjrn readily nodded even as she smiled at him. "I am quite glad to escape such a frigid environment, though I hope Narshe is recovering readily from this latest hardship." While she didn't have the same distaste as Edward for its ruler, their stay had not been a pleasant one. She had no desire to return.

"And Troia? Your home is recovering, as well?" She remembered that she hadn't heard from Cecil and grows a little worried, though Edward seems cheerful enough. If tragedy had indeed fallen, doubtless his demeanor would be different.

"I do believe that Narshe and Troia both as doing quite well for themselves. I see no need to worry now that the fiends have been slain." Cecil's prolonged silence did worry him greatly, but Rosa seemed to be well from what he last knew. Perhaps it was time for the bard to speak with the regal couple, just to catch up with them.

"But what of you? Are you...are you truly well?" Cue in the nagging worry. "How did you...I, I'm sorry! I shouldn't be thinking of such morbid topics now. Narshe is behind us, is it not?" Edward forced a smile upon his face while the guilt of it all still nagged at him.

"Edward...." Mjrn stared at him a moment, trailing off and resting a hand on his shoulder. "I do not blame you for what happened. Please, do not blame yourself further. It is past, yes?"

She withdrew her hand. "I am...adjusting as best I am able. In truth, I am grateful for this new life. It is not an opportunity I will squander."

Shocked by her choice of wording, Edward was led to believe that perhaps Penelo shared some words with Mjrn considering the guilt he feels. He wouldn't be surprised if the kind dancer did speak to Mjrn about this, especially considering how crestfallen he has been as of late. Silently thanking Penelo for whatever words shared between the two women, Edward smiled happily at Mjrn as he tried his best to believe her words.

"I...I am grateful to hear you say that, Mjrn. Death is something that I dislike coping with. Penelo and I both feared for the worst when the dragons attacked, but never in my days did I expect to lose someone during this awful attack. Nor did she." A sigh escaped his lips as he tried his best to explain himself. Words were failing him now, so perhaps it would be best to just quiet himself.

"Let us not dwell on this, Mjrn. All is well, isn't it?"

Mjrn herself assumes a guilty expression when he speaks of Penelo. She never wanted to be the cause of pain for her dearest friend, and yet it had happened regardless. She resolved not to dwell, as he suggested, and nodded, albeit hesitantly.

"Aye, indeed. I am alive once more. My friends are well. The dragons have been slain...and now, we are surrounded by warmth and sunlight. A better outcome I could scarcely imagine." Except perhaps not losing what made her Viera, but...no, trying not to dwell on that, at least not now.

Allowing a smile to grace his lips, Edward offered Mjrn another topic once she mention the warmth and sunlight of today's adventure. "Much better than Narshe, isn't it? Costa Faguita, I mean. I never knew that such a sunny coast existed here upon Gaia until now." He let out a soft sigh. "I suppose I still have some adventuring to do." The bard smiled more at Mjrn once he said that since he had a proposition for her.

"That is, unless you would like to join Penelo and I. I have no idea where we shall go next, but this adventure is far from over."

"But of course. Where Penelo goes, I go as well." Mjrn started out at the water thoughtfully for a moment. "Penelo spoke of Figaro. It is a climate reminiscent of her home, one which suits her well. The king has welcomed us, and it is a pleasant area. I would not mind dwelling there again, for a time."

"Ah, then good! We shall continue with our travels with Penelo at the helm." Thinking of his night at Figaro, a whimsical smile settled upon the bard's face as he thought about Penelo. Dancing the night away within the moonlight was a nice way to celebrate their victory over the Ant Lion, but was the perfect way to celebrate this idea of becoming anew. Instead of wallowing in his despair, Penelo gave him the hope he needed to carry on. While Anna shall always be within his heart, Edward truly felt he could start new on Gaia.

"Figaro is so beautiful at night, Mjrn. Just a sight that must be seen by all."

Mjrn nods, remembering well. "The sky is so clear, and the stars are a wonderfully bright contrast. It is a sight I will welcome again. Perhaps we may see an echo of it here, when the sun sets." She stares at the horizon, imaging the display to which they will bear witness, should they linger.

"I am sure we shall, Mjrn. The coast's sky is free of clouds, and the sun never shined so brightly before until now. Perhaps a feast of sparkles and shimmers shall await us at twilight." Gazing up at the sky with such a smile, Edward glanced over towards the Viera again before waving her along.

"I suppose we should rejoin the others, I must say that I'm getting a tad hungry now." He certainly hoped that this merry band of adventurers were smart enough to bring along some treats with them.

The Viera was not worried; Garden had enough supplies for everyone, even if the other traveling friends had forgotten. She nods joining alongside him. "Aye...and perhaps we will hear your music later?"
