This was the life. Rinoa relaxed on a sun lounger, soaking up the rays. Behind her sunglasses, her eyes were closed. She could hear the waves lapping gently against the beach in the background. It was as though the dragon invasion had never happened.

A group of holidaymakers passed by, laughing and joking as they headed for the sea. Rinoa sat up to take a look around. Hmm. Maybe it was time she went for a swim. But first she needed to reapply her sun cream. She smoothed back her hair and picked up her bottle of sun lotion. Now was there anyone around who might want to help?

..../throws a nervous Sis at him

Yet another person Ellone had wanted to see, Squall was one she both sought out and avoided. Rinoa had told her that he didn't remember her and hadn't even met her. The idea of having to go through the whole explanation again tore at Ellone's heart, but she had known the possibility would be there. After all, several others had come and gone and who was to say they'd retain their memories?

So, she hesitatingly walked closer, but still far enough away. She wondered if he remembered saving her in the training center that day... or even seeing her outside the infirmary. There were so many variables that she almost turned around and left right then.

But, no... she had to at least talk to him once.

Siiiiiiiis~!

Remember, no. Faint glimpses, yes. Instances. A strange happening. Dreams, the one moment in the infirmary-- he'd still thought it's been some sort of mixture of his imagination, blood loss, and that odd far-off sense of pain throbbing through his skull at the time. It wasn't as if he'd had the time to put too much thought into it. Things were happening, and happening fast.

Squall still hadn't really noticed her. The ocean was always an oddly familiar thing. Being near it... Something Squall shook off, and gave in to a moment to plop himself down.

He'd worry about sand in strange places later. Elbows on upturned knees, and a low, long exhale to relax tired bones, Squall just-- let himself take in a moment of tranquility.

When it came to certain things, the very idea that they were here, parents, family, after so long... Squall still wasn't sure what to think or do about it just yet.

:D ♥ she has no idea what to do with him :(

Squall wasn't saying anything. Ellone didn't know if he'd even noticed her. With a wistful sort of sigh, she walked up to him, not too close but close enough to talk. Ignoring the aura of aloneness he was giving off, she sat down in the sand, wrapping her arms around her legs and staring at the sea. How often had they done this as children? And how long had it been...?

"It's a pretty day, isn't it?" she murmured, not really expecting much of an answer, but hoping he might recognize her somehow anyway.
