Characters: Garnet, Eiko, OPEN TO THOSE IN LINDBLUM!
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: Before starting her 'good will tour', Garnet takes a stop in Lindblum to visit Eiko. The girls take some time to hit the town, incognito, for some girl bonding time!
Location: Lindblum (Any District)
Date: June 1804, After the Garden Festival
NOTES: This is an OPEN LOG! The girls are out to explore, and while they'll have their own dedicated thread, please, feel free to start a new sub-thread if you want to talk to one, or both of the girls!
In all the hustle and bustle, and the world being turned upside-down, It had been several months since Garnet had Eiko to the castle for her once 'monthly' visits. Even if Eiko came to Alexandria, Garnet had the sinking feeling that the number of distractions would have been insurmountable. She owed Eiko better than that, and it was that very reason that she had packed a bit early, and headed off to Lindblum for some one-on-one bonding time.
Even though Eiko was technically being punished for that stunt she had pulled smuggling her friends from Luca, Garnet had convinced Regent Cid to allow her to take the young summoner out for a day in town. True, they had been out in Lindblum lots of times, but the weather was too nice to stay inside. So, donning her trusty, well-worn marigold suit, white blouse, and leather gloves and boots, The queen was ready to go incognito -- Dagger was ready for a nice afternoon in town.
(( OOC: Tag Garnet, Tag Eiko, Tag them both! They'll be going pretty much everywhere, so feel free to set the stage with your tag! New threads, please, or talk to the players if you wanna thread-crash! ))

The corners of his mouth rose in a tiny smile at the greeting. "I had not expected to meet with you here."

Dagger Tribal. She had to admit, that had a nice ring to it.
"I'm here visiting family." It wasn't a lie, exactly -- a stretch, maybe, but it was also a good cover when she was trying to keep a low profile. "What're you doing out here? I didn't know you were in Lindblum."

Refusing to look the Queen in the eyes, lest she see through his half truth. "I have found reason to inhabit Lindblum in the recent past. 'Tis conveniently located centrally to the world, allowing myself the freedom I require."

Convenience. Required freedom. She paused, pressing her lips together thoughtfully. There had been a time when she'd asked this Knight of Ivalice to keep his eyes and ears open for her. Since then, she'd heard nothing from him, but then, she hadn't really asked, either.
"I'm sorry I never really had a chance to visit at the wedding," she said. "I've been meaning to talk to you, but so many things keep coming up. Did you and your guest have a good time?"

Date: 2010-07-03 03:25 pm (UTC)Oh! Dagger was talking with someone. Well, that was an easy fix, so she put her hands on her hips, planning to just butt in and get her wishing gil. But she recognized this one!
With no warning whatsoever, and no consideration for the conversation at hand, she blurted out, "You're that boy Refia likes!"

While he might be willing to speak more with Garnet in confidence and privacy, to speak in the square with the little one listening was beyond the capabilities of the Holy Knight.
He could only wonder if Eiko's announcement rang true or if he was not the recipient of idle gossip.
