Summary: Irvine is surprised he's seen so many of his old friends, and hopefully to actually see them in person. But will he also meet others curious by the cowboy in a Library

Warnings: None that I can think of, but hey it's Irvine...he's a warning all his own.

The library was an interesting place, a place where the studious study and the wandering passer by looks at other students. This was a place where people could use the community computers as their own personal work stations, or a device to slack off and watch videos on the network, or check up on news. The cowboy was none of these things as he explored the network he was on thanks to the device the moogles gave him. Apparently all the computers were down and not responding to anything, still perfectly good seats for Irvine to put his feet up on. Strangely enough this day was just crazy and insane for him, mainly because waking up in a strange new world could cause anyone to flip out. The cowboy leaned back on the console's chair then got up and stretched his legs, then finally sitting back down. He wasn't always this fidgety, I mean hell he's a sharpshooter, but something was odd about his situation. He felt something was bad about all of this, but mainly it was worry about the people he knew were here...his friends. Irvine shook his head and thought to himself, "Come on Kinneas, you heard how Selphie, Rin, Nida, and Squall are and they seem like they're okay...not too sure about Squall seeing how that guy is a brick wall when it comes to emotions, but Selphie, Nida and Rin seem alright...and that's what counts." Shaking his head a bit he got and walked towards the entrance of the library, maybe some water or pop will make him less crazy

Irvine put the hat back on and adjusted it properly, before looking at Rinoa and saying with a smirk on his face, "Alright, lets go...cause I need to see this to believe it."

"I'll show you, Irvine Kinneas."

Rinoa led him over to the girls' dorms and stopped outside her room. "Wait outside," she instructed him as she unlocked the door. "And no peeking!"

With that, she stepped inside and closed the door to get changed.

Irvine followed Rinoa to the girl's dorm. When Rinoa instructed him what to do, Irvine was shocked as he said, "Now what makes you think I would do that."

He then leaned outside Rinoa's room, looking around the dorm halls and just gave a simple grin of all the memories here.

Rinoa was teasing him, of course. She didn't seriously think Irvine would try to sneak a peek. Besides, he knew that Squall would kill him if he did.

She changed quickly, pausing in front of the mirror to adjust her hat. She'd chosen the prettiest robes she could find: indigo and pink with a wide-brimmed hat to match. Rinoa turned to face the door and struck her best spell-casting pose - not that she was actually going to cast any magic.

"You can come in now!"

Irvine heard her from behind the door and replied, "Alright, time to see it." He opened the door and saw Rinoa standing there, striking a pose, pointy hat and all.

He couldn't help but laugh.

Irvine couldn't control yourself as he asked, "Oh my god...w-wow..." Irvine managed to remain his composure and said, "Like I said, I had to see this to believe it."

"What?" Rinoa pouted. "Don't you like it?"

Irvine shook his hands and replied, "No, no, no...just wasn't expecting is all." He then looked at her and replied, "Now that I see...it looks good on you."

He then asked, "What does Squall think of it?" He would ask what Selphie thought of it, but he kinda had a feeling what she would say.

"Thanks!" She grinned at him, and even did a twirl.

"He likes it. I really need a staff or a racket to go with it though..."

He chuckled as he said, "You really want to complete the look you have huh?" Irvine then thought for a second and replied, "Why not take Squall or Selphie to help shop for one? I'm sure they'd love to go with you...well Squall not so much, but the way I see it, he needs more R and R."

"Well, I didn't at first, I like my old weapon. It's kind of hard to wear it with these sleeves though." She laughed. "And I already took Squall shopping - that's when I bought these."

Irvine looked at the clothes and replied, "Clearly, those sleeves are better to hide a rod or knives or something." He then blinked at the fact that Squall went shopping with her and said, "Really? Huh...that's a surprise."

"Yeah." She tugged at the sleeves. "Well, I need someone to carry my stuff," she joked. "But really, it's good to get out and explore. There's a whole world out there, Irvine. You'll see."

Irvine thought for a second before grinning at Rinoa and saying, "Huh...guess that's one way to look at it, Rin...I mean hell we are in some strange world, best we can do is explore it." He was probably gonna do that if Squall had no work for him, get a feel for the world he was in.

He then looked at her and replied, "You know maybe I will do that, just go out for a while and see what this world can offer someone like me."

"Good idea!" Rinoa replied. "Just make sure you don't get lost. It's pretty big out there."

"Heh, don't worry about me..I always find a way to come back," Irvine stated almost cockily. He then sighed rubbing his neck and replied, "So what's next on the agenda." Irvine was feeling a little tired but wanted to know more about this place, how it worked, and what to avoid. He wanted to know as much as he could, before venturing out into the unknown.

"I think I'm gonna grab something to eat. Wanna come?" Rinoa adjusted her hat, and grinned. "Think I'll change back into my normal clothes first though."

"Sure, unless you don't mind me being around," Irvine stated, he figured the food would help build his energy, not to mention see if the cafeteria food was still eatable.

Irvine then stated, "I'll wait outside for you, that way I don't sneak a peek or something." With that, he walked out and waited outside her room.

"Of course I don't mind!"

Rinoa changed quickly, then bounced outside again. She hooked her arm into Irvine's and grinned up at him. "Would you care to escort me to the cafeteria, Mr Kinneas?"

Irvine was a little startled by Rinoa's sudden hook in, but managed to calmly state, "Why I would be honored to escort, Ms. Heartilly." With that, he walked towards the corridors for a moment, then looked around again thinking of where it would be.

Problem was, his mind was drawing a blank at the moment.

Rinoa could have gently nudged Irvine in the right direction. She had made the trip from her room to the cafeteria many times, after all. But it was more fun to tease him.

"Something wrong?" she asked slyly.

Irvine looked at her and replied, "No, no, not at all...just need to get a feel of the place." He then got a sudden idea and added, "Seeing how I have never been within the girl's dorm, I don't know too much about the route to go. So why don't you lead." He played it very cool as he could, as to not let Rinoa think he didn't know the way.

Clever, Irvine. Clever. Only not so much seeing as the boys' dormitories are practically next to the girls'.

Rinoa laughed at him. "Sure, Irvine. This way."

Irvine grinned and added, "Alright." He felt kinda embarrassed as well, here he was, a student at this school for a few years, being lead by someone who has been here once or twice. He would never admit he was lost in his old school, but at the same time he didn't feel like lead Rinoa on a wild goose chase. He then asked her, "So, the food here still the same, or they get some other world taste to it?"

"A lot of it's the same. There always seem to be too many hotdogs. Pity Zell isn't here to eat them all."

Irvine chuckled, at the Zell comment and replied, "Yea...he'd probably one of the people with a chair right in front of them." Guess not everything changed in this place.
