Characters: Zack and Rikku
Progress: In Progress
Summary: A panicking ex-SOLDIER looks for a way back to his friend, and meets one of her friends.
Location: The Clockwork City of Goug
Date: November
Warnings: None yet.
After a little bit of disorientation, the ex-SOLDIER had managed to get accurate directions to the blonde girl's pile of broken down machines and stuff. His sword was about the biggest identifier he could have had, besides his glowing blue eyes, which darted here and there, taking the sights and sounds of Goug and the Al Bhed working. They were speaking a language he didn't understand, but Zack's eyes were fixed now on a blonde in a bikini, the very same young lady he'd been speaking to on the MoogleNet. Zack was pretty relieved by the sight of someone familiar, even if the idea of an afraid, alone Lulu giving birth in a strange place had a vicegrip on his chest.
"Rikku? Rikku!" he waved wildly, grinning a bit, his fingerless gloves stretching along with his hand, to be very conspicuous. The man picked up his step, jogging the rest of the way over to her. Sure, some blonde folks with green eyes were giving him weird looks, dirty looks, appraising looks.. all kinds of looks. Some even looked ready for a fight, considering how the armed man had simply barged on in. "It's me, Zack Fair, remember?"

She pushed herself to her feet, carefully setting her half-finished little junkbot aside as she waved to Zack. "Hey, yeah, I remember! It's not been all that long, ya know." She smirked at him, her hands settling on her hips. "You should be more careful where you go runnin' around with that sword though."

Date: 2009-11-03 02:45 am (UTC)"You know Lulu." he didn't say it accusingly or anything, as much as he stated it, "Anyway.. yeah, it's nice to meet you, Rikku." he held out a hand, figuring on shaking the girl's. "I know it ain't been all that long, it's just.. well, stranger things have happened, right?"

Date: 2009-11-03 02:54 am (UTC)"Yeah, I know Lulu. I'm kinda worried, actually. I mean, I don't know where she is but she's gotta be crazy far away if these moogle things aren't workin' right, ya know?" She shook her head, as she reached out to shake Zack's hand with her own moderately smaller one. "Yeah, considering we've lost months of time and nobody knows how we got here, I guess you're right about the weird stuff."

Date: 2009-11-03 02:58 am (UTC)"I guess they don't have communications equipment out that far.. but that kinda gives me -something- to go on.. Not enough, but I know she ain't anywhere around Alexandria, or anywhere else I can reach effectively on the MoogleNet.."

Date: 2009-11-03 03:03 am (UTC)"Well, I was thinkin' about that, with the range thing. The moogles have towers all over the mist continent, and where we are, whichever continent this is. So, if they aren't gettin' reception, they're aren't here. Anywhere near here. At all." She shook her head. "Other than sayin' 'go west and pray', I really don't know how to find her..."

Date: 2009-11-03 03:10 am (UTC)Zack tapped his chin gently, thinking to himself, "I read on the MoogleNet that you can get a general idea of location.. or at least direction, by reading the signal.. Then again, it seems pretty choppy.." he just didn't know enough about this stuff! How frustrating was that?!

Date: 2009-11-04 03:46 am (UTC)She shrugged apologetically. "Sorry, I'm worried about her too, I just...don't really know what to do."

Date: 2009-11-06 04:59 am (UTC)It sounded like a great plan, even if his fist pumping had those moody Al Bhed on edge.. "Just.." he scratched at one cheek, "Where the hell do we find one of those?"

Date: 2009-11-06 02:43 pm (UTC)The Al'Bhed were indeed rustling around them, and Rikku tossed one of them a bit of an annoyed glare. "We should leave right away! Just lemmie get this stuff gathered up..." She began picking up all the bits of the little robot thing she was trying to build.
