Characters: Gabranth and Aerith
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: First meeting.
Location: Lindblum
Date: January 1st, 1804
Warnings: Aerith being herself, questions, etc

Aerith had closed her communicator after speaking with Al-Cid and looked faintly disturbed over the information she'd gained before she decided to leave the inn and consider how to handle this. Cloud wasn't likely to listen to her but the incident with that other man on the network bothered her as well. Things were moving in ways she wasn't comfortable with and she wasn't going to sit back and watch this time, not if she could do something. She'd spent too much time denying who she was when she was younger and it had done her no good. At least here, there was a chance she could be of more use.

She didn't even realize where she was going, being so lost in thought over what she'd learned. Vayne was a threat, according to Al-Cid but Weiss seemed to pose a much greater threat to the world than the other man currently did. She didn't think Rufus Shinra would sit idle either, with the issues regarding Wutai. Her footsteps quickened without her realizing it until she found herself standing outside one of the parks.

It calmed her slightly to see the green stretching out in front of her and she smiled slowly before slipping her shoes to walk barefoot in the grass. She still wasn't used to seeing this kind of place in a city and it was a nice distraction from her thoughts. She sighed quietly, just standing there in her bare feet as she looked around.

Gabranth had been taking a few moments to explore the rest of the city. Since his arrival, he'd remained at Larsa's side, his brother at the other, both Ronsenburgs protecting their Emeperor. It actually seemed almost perfect, in a way, if it wasn't for his other master calling on him. He wanted to stay at Larsa's side and remain with his brother, now they'd truly put everything at rest. Of course, there were still many issues that hadn't been touched on between the twins but they'd manage it eventually.

Crossing through the park, he came to pause and take a breath, finding his helmet (the one Basch had given him) to be more stifling than he recalled. Perhaps he was unaccustomed to it. He knew he'd get used to it again, soon enough, but he simply had to remove it then.

Slipping it off, Noah took a breath, his eyes slipping closed a moment, opening to settle upon a brunette woman stood barefoot, almost looking lost. Frowning slightly, he tried not to take notice and instead looked out upon the rest of the area.

Noticing her speak to him, Noah bowed his head slightly. "Good day, miss." He wasn't entirely sure why he'd even bothered to speak to her in reply... perhaps it was her obviously gentle nature.

"Nay; I merely took the opportunity to explore the city whilst my twin brother cares for our Lord." A slight smile almost appeared but Gabranth quickly shoved it away. "Judge Magister Gabranth, Miss Aerith."

"Aye, we do... mostly. The sky pirates tend not to speak as well." He frowned slightly at her question. "We guard the Emperor. I personally serve both Vayne and Larsa Solidor. I currently accompany my brother at Lord Larsa's side."

"I do... but there is little to tell of him. He is rather an open book. What you see is what he is." It was a blatant lie but Gabranth had gotten used to lying to cover Vayne's back and it was entirely believable.

Gabranth eyed her for a moment, only giving a single nod. She understood his position with regards to Vayne and he was glad she hadn't pressed him too hard about his Emperor.

"A... Turk?" Gabranth wore a vaguely bemused expression but simply brushed it away with her questions. "My homeland is similar to this, yet perhaps more... grand. Sky pirates are the vermin of the sky; pirates with airships who thieve and murder."

A frown came and Noah began to walk, offering her an arm to hold as they walked.

Noah listened to her speak, his gaze swapping between where they were walking to her face and back. "I see. Then, perhaps, we are much like these Turks, yet I would consider myself more of a member of an army, rather than a bodyguard." Listening to her speak of the plate that separated the land she lived in, Gabranth gave a slight nod. "'Tis a familiar tale. The land of Archades, of where I hail in Ivalice; there is the grand city for gentry and nobles then a less fortunate area; the sewer of Archadia, Old Archades."

"I see..." It sounded rather dreadful. He'd become quite accustomed to the grandeur of Archadia, after all. Looking around, he gave a slight nod. "'Tis a fine city. As is the settlement my Lord is currently in command of. Wutai is rather... intriguing."

"Then it does have a ruler? I am under the impression that she has yet to arrive, am I correct?" He tilted his head slightly as she looked at him. "It is quite unique, isn't it?"

"That sounds vaguely familiar." It was like the story of Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca, but he didn't need to elude. It would only bring about things he'd burried. He knew Basch's friends still believed him a beast and, for the most part, he still was but his brother was all that mattered.

After Lord Larsa, of course.

"It is indeed pleasant." He gave her a slight smile, a short nod following.

"By the point in time my brother comes from, I would have been dead a year past. I indeed wish to return home... but if it is only to die in my motherland then I would sooner remain here, where I may continue to repair bonds between my twin and I." He frowned, looking away. He hadn't planned to admit that but Aerith was easy to talk to.

"Aye, it was." He wouldn't tell her about how he'd been ordered to betray and frame his brother for treason and assassination. Nor would he elude as to his punishing and torturing his twin. There was not a thing on this world or his own that would make him do it again.

Not even Vayne.

"'Tis not often I have my personal time," he replied, shaking his head with a slight sigh. "In Ivalice, when given time to spend alone, a Judge would usually rest. We find little chance to sleep for long."

"We had little free time in which to enjoy ourselves. We were amidst a world war and I, being one of the seniors of the Imperial Army, had many duties and little time to... relax," he murmured, frowning slightly.

Looking at her, he shook his head slightly. "It matters not. I find this world is much more agreeable."
