Characters: Mjrn, Reks, Vaan? (Balthier and Fran, if they want?)
Progress: Ongoing.
Summary: Mjrn arrives in Guadosalam, searching for Reks.
Location: Guadosalam
Date: Jan. 1803
Warnings: Sap.
The journey to Guadosalam seemed to last forever, in Mjrn's mind. Once again, she cursed Gaia's lack of Gate Crystals, which would have made the trek a far shorter one. It was not present company which was the issue -Balthier and Fran were always appreciated and she was grateful to have Vaan around again- but the lack of specific company--namely, Reks. The young Viera was on edge and as such, likely made for a quiet travel companion. All her focus was elsewhere.
He was alive, fine, waiting. The whole scenario seemed surreal to the one who could still accurately picture the bloodstains on her hands, who heard his dying breath. The horrific images were so vivid that they were difficult to shed, even with seeing his face on the Sky Phone's screen. She prayed that seeing him in person again would banish those images to a far corner of her mind, even though they could never truly be forgotten.
As soon as the Strahl landed, Mjrn exited with all due haste and headed for the town nestled in the roots of the Iifa Tree. She glanced back briefly to see if Vaan was joining her, but other than that, her only thought was to find Reks as soon as possible. Upon crossing the threshold, she immediately started searching for his familiar face.

Date: 2010-01-24 06:29 am (UTC)Just different. And he was still getting used to the fact that Reks was still alive. His brother was alive! It was something he was still trying to grasp. Just adding this relationship was only boggling his mind even more. But he didn't let it get to him. He merely went after Mjrn. He couldn't contain his excitement, however, when he saw Reks, alive and whole just like in the Sky Phone, waiting for them. "Reks!"
He ran to his brother, past Mjrn, to nearly tackle the young man to the ground.

Date: 2010-01-24 07:03 am (UTC)When Reks met her gaze, Mjrn was jolted out of her trance. Any Viera reserve -of which there was far less to begin with- melted away, as she no longer cared who was watching. As Reks got his feet, she could remain still no longer and rushed forward. The moment he was within arm's reach, she clung to him.

Date: 2010-01-24 08:23 am (UTC)"Such a display, and in front of children. Shameful," he chided, amusement thick in his Archadian accent.
Okay, so they were all adults but Vaan would always be like a little brother to him. And he was certainly childish enough to be one.

Date: 2010-01-24 08:48 am (UTC)Eighteen was totally old enough to be allowed to see kissing. Only kids acted immature about it and he definitely wasn't a child.
Definitely.

Date: 2010-01-25 02:53 am (UTC)When those lips touched hers, she responded eagerly. Words had failed her on conveying just how much she had missed him, how euphoric she was at his return, and so it fell to non-verbal means. She leaned in even as he drew her close, arms slipping around him again and all other thoughts and distractions falling to the wayside. Even Balthier's and Vaan's voices didn't quite break through to her, at least not enough to break it off suddenly. They had earned this.
Slowly and reluctantly, she moved her lips away, not wanting to further ignore their companions. However, moving away from him entirely took more effort and willpower than she had at the moment. And there was a promise of more in her eyes, once they got the chance.

Date: 2010-01-25 05:32 am (UTC)It was strange, entirely unlike any place he'd seen. It was definitely not from their world.
Glancing over his shoulder, he eyed the blonde teen before looking at Mjrn and Reks. "Well, where to? I'd rather we didn't linger more than strictly necessary."

Date: 2010-01-25 07:01 am (UTC)Okay, so he really never saw them kiss. But it wasn't hard to see that those two were together and therefore had to be kissing like Mjrn and Reks were.

Date: 2010-01-26 02:01 am (UTC)A smile formed as her hand rested in Reks', probably the first one in a while. The teasing was regarded with some amusement, though she didn't jump into it. At Balthier's question, she paused and glanced at Reks. Their previous locations had been chosen because of Penelo's presence, and during their time apart, she had been preoccupied with getting through each day. Now, it seemed that could change, yet she had no answer. Perhaps Reks did? "Then let us depart. A destination can be considered on the way...."
