Progress: In-progress
Summary: Someone wakes up very confused.
Location: the Ragnarok, just outside Jidoor
Date: March 1804
Warnings: Antisocial-ness vs. perkiness. Imagine it now.
Motion. That was the sensation underneath Paine's back when she finally shuddered awake. Metal was cold and tingling against her bare skin, and at a whirring sound, she shot up. Moving. She was moving?
... Was this an elevator?
Her head was still fuzzy when the lift came to a halt on an upper floor, which appeared to be a bridge of some sort. So she was on a ship. An airship, maybe? Paine groaned as she stood, her heels clanking against the floor as she stumbled forward. Great, head rush. Just what she needed. There was a wide array of controls on the panel, and the girl stepped toward them, not touching, only glancing. But this wasn't the Celsius. If it was, Buddy and Brother would be here, and there was no one in sight.
So where the hell was she?
A glance through the dome window answered her question, and not with something she'd been hoping for.

Had she dropped it somewhere? Shit. Not only was she in a weird, unknown ship, but she was unarmed. Instead, she bunched her gloved hands into two tight fists, and waited for the lift to come to a stop.
And when it did, she didn't even try to feign surprise.
"Who are you?" This was no time for niceties, let alone a return greeting. Paine remembered nothing of boarding a strange airship, and the only possibility was that she'd been kidnapped. Maybe not by this girl -- she looked a bit too scrawny and tiny -- but by someone else with her, for sure. LeBlanc? No, she was on their side. Then who--
Idly, she glanced at a moogle, wary.

"Why am I here?"
As much as Paine wanted to swear, she kept her lips sealed for the time being.
who sucks? i suck
Date: 2010-03-24 03:58 am (UTC)Hesitance crossed over Paine's attractive face. She just got here, and was already expected to receive things from some moogles? And what was a sky person? Gaia? She shook her head. This was ridiculous. This had to be a dream, because she couldn't be in a place called Gaia. Maybe this was some far off place in Spira she'd never heard of. That had to be it. But still...
"Explain, now." Eventually, she did snag the pamphlet and phone, but didn't open them, or even spare them a second glance. She had a feeling that thing would nag at her if she didn't accept them. Maybe this was all too harsh, but she had every right to be confused.
