Event: Eiko's Birthday Ball

Summary: A big party for a small girl. Yep, it's Eiko's birthday and she's having a ball.

Nobody could say that Regent Cid wasn't generous when it came to his adopted daughter, Eiko. In fact, some said that he was too indulgent. But on this, the evening of Eiko's tenth birthday, the citizens of Lindblum were ready and eager to celebrate. A free ball! Free drinks, free food, and a free pass into Lindblum Grand Castle. Many had failed to acquire tickets in time and were disappointed, but the lucky few piled eagerly into the castle.

Security was tight, and every single guest was checked by the guards before being allowed to enter. Once inside, they would find a wide and sumptuously decorated ballroom. A small group of musicians played slow and ambient music, while the party guests swayed across the floor dressed in all their finery. What could only be described as a flock of moogles flew or scurried around the room, offering glasses of champagne and various sweet treats. Regent Cid himself sat on a grand throne at the head of the room, nodding graciously at the guests who came to pay their respects. 

The ball was already in full swing, and the party would go on for a long while yet.

"Well Ms. Tilmitt I am hurt," he stated with an offended look, "I mean honestly, I would never stoop so low as to using a pick up line on someone as beautiful and stunning and sexy and...well I could go on forever, but you'd get bored of me saying how perfect you are."

He grabbed a pair of glasses of champagne and gave one to Selphie stating, "For you."

He looked at the young commander and replied, "I don't know...I mean, I remember when I first came here Laguna was younger and he didn't know who I was, but then a few days later he remembered. Maybe this is just the reverse." A simple shake of his head as he stated, "But the way I see it, Squall is Squall, no matter what memories are there or aren't, and in the end that's what counts.

"That depends on if I'm willing or not," said the sly cowboy dressed in black. He looked at her with a smirk for a moment then bowed in front of her and stated in a very professional manner, "Madame you are looking lovely tonight, it would both my honor and satisfaction to dance with you this evening, if you give me the chance."

He took her by the hand and led the brunette onto the dance floor. Irvine was grinning and said, "You know if you wanted to dance with me that badly, you could of just asked me." He chuckled, but softly, cause well he was dancing with his angel.
