Characters: OPEN to all party guests
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: A big party for a small girl. Yep, it's Eiko's birthday and she's having a ball.
Location: Lindblum Grand Castle
Date: March 21st, 1804
Warnings: N/A so far
Nobody could say that Regent Cid wasn't generous when it came to his adopted daughter, Eiko. In fact, some said that he was too indulgent. But on this, the evening of Eiko's tenth birthday, the citizens of Lindblum were ready and eager to celebrate. A free ball! Free drinks, free food, and a free pass into Lindblum Grand Castle. Many had failed to acquire tickets in time and were disappointed, but the lucky few piled eagerly into the castle.
Security was tight, and every single guest was checked by the guards before being allowed to enter. Once inside, they would find a wide and sumptuously decorated ballroom. A small group of musicians played slow and ambient music, while the party guests swayed across the floor dressed in all their finery. What could only be described as a flock of moogles flew or scurried around the room, offering glasses of champagne and various sweet treats. Regent Cid himself sat on a grand throne at the head of the room, nodding graciously at the guests who came to pay their respects.
The ball was already in full swing, and the party would go on for a long while yet.
[ooc: Don't worry if you didn't comment to Regent Cid's earlier post requesting tickets. Handwaving is just fine if you want to hop in. It's party style - go tag and mingle! Thread jumping and ninja tagging is encouraged.]
[ooc: Eiko has made a very loud announcement about a celebrity couple's engagement. Feel free to overhear, react or congratulate.]

Date: 2010-03-25 01:52 am (UTC)Letting out a chuckle once Ashelia spoke of her son, Halim allowed his thoughts to stray. What sort of leader would Little Shain become? Will he take up the sword like his grandfather, Lord Raminas or shall he behave less like a warrior king and more like shrewd scholar? With so many questions revolving the boy’s future, one question the Marquis had truly wondered him. Would the young prince ever see the Dalmasca he is to inherit? While Gaia is certainly a rather interesting world to visit, it is still not Ivalice. If there were a way to return home, would the Lady of Dalmasca leave her life here in favor for her days within her kingdom? The Marquis wasn’t very sure how such question would be answered.
“Larsa?” Roused from his thoughts by the mention young Solidor, Ondore’s face actually grew a tad sour. “I know naught if he is well, Ashe, but…he’s seems to be.” He replied hesitantly for Ashe’s words truly perplexed him. Marquis Ondore never once compared Larsa to that of his lord brother, or least until now. He knew that the boy of course bares relations with his most feared nemesis, but Halim really disassociated the youth with that of Lord Gramis and his vile sons.
To him, Larsa was more or less the son he never had rather than a product of House Solidor’s insanity.
“I cannot tell if he’s well or not, but I do know Vayne’s assassination has forever changed him.” Whether or not this change is for the better good, has yet to be known. “Perhaps the young emperor is still in grief, he does realize how much the people of Dalmasca have grown to hate Vayne. I wouldn’t be surprised if Larsa was to view me poorly as well.”

"If time is what Larsa needs, I shall allow it, yet I..." Aware that she was frowning, the princess sighed, lifting her chin and looking up to her uncle.
"The relations established between Dalmasca and Archadia... I cannot allow them to degenerate."
