A rather sudden intake of air as if the man in bed had just surfaced from being underwater for far too long. Green eyes opened, the oval pupils adjusting after a moment to the lack of any lighting currently within the room. Without even needing a light, a few things made themselves readily apparent. One, he currently felt considerably better now than he had when he'd originally passed out. Two, there was someone here with him...likely Genesis considering how bad off he'd been when he had made that last call before falling. Unfortunately no matter how much he tried to ignore the third thing demanding his attention, he couldn't avoid reaching upwards to run a hand over the black feathers above his right shoulder.

Which brought a fourth thing to his attention rather quickly when he actually felt the texture of the feathery down and feathers of the wing beneath his fingertips. His gloves were gone ...he cut off the thought which rose at that realization and tried to concentrate on something else, which predictably ended up being an utter failure. It would seem the world was conspiring to remind him of his origins and the small fact...despite trying to pretend otherwise, he seemed destined to end up a monster in the end one way or another.

And it was the gasp that awoke Genesis. He stayed silent as he tried to wake his mind up, wondering what was happening. He was curled in the chair, coat over him as a blanket but it soon fell to the floor as he sat up straighter.

He heard panicked breathing and his fingers immediately went to the comforter, feeling for the man beneath and was almost shocked when he found himself feeling the chest rise and fall faster. His glowing, sightless eyes stared down, but not at anything. "Sephiroth?"

Genesis looked toward Sephiroth's voice and felt for his chair again, sitting down. "We are at Ondore's house. He was kind enough to let us stay here for the time being."

Until they were well again. "How do you feel?"

"Lindblum," Genesis answered easily. "Your work and sleep habits were hardly the cause for your collapse. It was the nethicite that dear Dr. Cid was making." Standing up, his fingers drifted across the covers to feel his direction as he walked around the bed. There, he encountered the wing. "It also caused this. The nethicite was deadly to us all. All those with JENOVA's cells."

A smirked alighted his face. "It killed me."

Sitting down on the side of the bed, he wondered if Angeal was asleep in the room or not. He listened for any signs of breathing but heard none. He wondered. "Is Angeal in the room?"

Genesis hummed slightly and reached over, feeling for an extra pillow and pulling it toward him. His staff would have been better but it was across the room. "And where is he? I'll need you to be very specific."

Genesis followed the directions and then asked. "Am I facing him then?"

The pillow was in hand still, but he needed to know to complete his task.

Sephiroth caught on fast. He smirked and turned to the right a little more. "There?"

Genesis gestured with his arm, turning a bit more again. "There?" A hint of a chuckle was in his voice now.

"That was the plan," Genesis confirmed, keeping his feet planted in the direction he wanted to throw the pillow and turned at the waist, giving the man an exaggerated bow. He turned back and threw the pillow as hard as he could.

Wonderful friends he had, really. There he was trying to catch some well deserved sleep when --FWAP. The pillow made contact with his face in less than a second, knocking himself -and the chair- into the wall behind him, feathers flying about him as he found himself on the ground, holding his face. The recoil had caused him to fall from the chair.

"Ugh--" was the sorry groan from Angeal as he stood up wobbling. "Thank you, Genesis," hands rubbed at his eyes and all the other stinging parts of his face. He didn't expect Sephiroth to be up, so he wasn't addressed. "You aim well for your handicap. Is there something you need that I can get for you?" Bitter was a good adjective to describe his tone.

"Well, to be honest, my aim is due to Sephiroth," Genesis shrugged nonchalantly, walking toward Angeal's voice, feeling with his foot for the downed pillow. "Otherwise, I would have hit the wall on the other side of the room."

He chuckled, bending down to grab the pillow. He gave Angeal a lightersmack with it on the back. "You can say hello to our awakened friend."

"What--" He uttered quickly, snapping his head over to the bed. Sephiroth was up? And there the General was. He was up on his own. Again he was mixed on how to feel about this. On one hand, it was relieving to see him, up and well. And the the other, he couldn't help but think about all the things he had been told about him and the wing; all it brought.

And it was also hard to see him still. That pillow was something smart on his face. "It's nice to see you again, Sephiroth." It didn't come out as cheerful or confident as he had hoped.

He nodded at the other, hands making one last run over his not so tingling face and baggy eyes. "I'll survive." Angeal laughed, moving closer to his previously bed stricken friend. "How are you feeling?" he paused, wondering if he should add the next part.

"... I'm afraid I departed sometime during your coma, then came back not too long ago." He didn't have a single memory of this place from before his arrival, except the ones from home.

Genesis answered that unasked question. "I told Angeal everything, Sephiroth. He is from way back in Wutai, so he had no idea about even himself."

He walked back toward the bed, carefully finding it and then locating his chair. He sighed as he sat down. "We may need to prepare for another birth of a wing." Genesis raised an eyebrow, not bothering to try and locate Angeal's voice again. "You could be a bit more enthusiastic, Angeal, about Sephiroth. He'll think we don't like him anymore~."
