Characters: Kefka, Vincent Valentine (Chaos)
Progress: Incomplete
Summary: The White God and a demon of destruction cross paths
Location: Near Lindblum (around Qu's Marsh?)
Date: August 1, 1804
Warnings: Violence. Insanity?
Chaos circled in the air high above the city of Lindblum, glaring down at the metropolis. It was the place where the demon had awoken, and Chaos would have liked nothing better than to start its task by destroying the place. However, the city, while full of life, was also protected by strange things- ones that sealed away his power. The way they sealed away his power was like the protomateria that Chaos had once been trapped by, and yet different, and the demon hated the things already. The demon had gained freedom to do what it was supposed to, after so long- this opportunity could not be taken away from it. It would not let itself be sealed away again. It would have destroyed the place already, if it were not for the presence of those things. The Rooks were on the alert, and were careful to move to block him from entering the city.
Finally, the demon had grown frustrated, and had flown off away from the city. Instead, it had landed in the nearby marsh, and was destroying every living thing it could find there. The city could be taken care of later, when the weak creatures had lowered their guard. For now, it would take out its anger on the area around it, creating a truly impressive display of destruction and rage.

Date: 2010-08-01 07:16 pm (UTC)Watching the demon fly he raised his hand up as high as he could, forming a large spire of ice in front of his target's way. Kefka wanted a chat with the man, and see how much destruction he could cause.

Date: 2010-08-01 08:22 pm (UTC)The sound of laughter caught Chaos's attention, and it finally caught sight of Kefka, in his colorful glory. The demon snarled, then launched itself back at the man/God, fangs bared and Death Penalty raised at its target.

Date: 2010-08-01 09:36 pm (UTC)"Bravo," stated the clown, "Bravo indeed, never have I seen such raw and destructive power come from one of you pathetic creatures. It's enough to make this poor fool cry." The twisted god walked over calmly and collect, as if he didn't fear the fact this thing could kill him. He shifted to the side beginning to walk around the demon, studying him and asked, "Tell me...are you enjoying your reign of nightmares and horrors in Gaia...Vince was it? It was a name that was dispatched on the video post, whether that was his name or not was of little relevance.

Date: 2010-08-01 10:00 pm (UTC)Still, to be faced with no fear... this man was something new. Whether the man was foolhardy or powerful, Chaos was still intrigued enough to halt the wanton destruction in favor of curiosity. The man was a puzzle that Chaos had never encountered before, and complete destruction could wait until he had picked it apart.

Date: 2010-08-01 10:22 pm (UTC)However something inside of this thing told Kefka he wasn't the most stable he has met who wield such a power. A flicker of fire ignited in both the clown's hands. "Dearest Chaos, Lord of all destruction and bringer of death and mayhem. Show me what you got, show this God of Chaos what his spawn truly can do!"

Date: 2010-08-01 10:56 pm (UTC)When the man spoke, however, Chaos whirled around with a growling roar and fired the Death Penalty. This mere mortal dared to claim himself a God, and call Chaos his spawn. The very idea of it was simply insulting. Chaos found itself infuriated. It was a weapon of the Planet, a creation of the Lifestream, not a tool for simple mortals to toy with. The demon launched itself into the air, taking aim to fire again.
This fool would see the true power of a weapon of the planet before he died.

Date: 2010-08-01 11:04 pm (UTC)Magic began to whirl around as both wind and fire took over and a cyclone of fire began to on the ground just below the demon. "Tell me, let's see if those wings of yours can withstand a firefight of it's own!" With that the wind launched the fire up towards the demon.

Date: 2010-08-01 11:27 pm (UTC)Chaos shrieked with anger and pain as the fire blasted across its wings. The demon dropped for a moment before spreading its wings again, flapping powerfully to move out of the way of the pillar of wind an flames. Once again the demon fired, setting off shots at the man in rapid succession before diving suddenly, aiming to score the man with the impressive claws adorning the demon’s left hand.

Date: 2010-08-02 12:23 am (UTC)The clown jumped back clutching his wound and looked at the blood. This was a sight that Gaia had seen already. Kefka was not pleased with this turn of events. His laugh silenced, his eyes glared and his teeth were showing a despised scowl. The clown released his wound and unleashed a powerful Meltdown at the demon, added with jolts of Thunder.
I am so late on this. I'm sorry.
Date: 2010-08-05 02:46 am (UTC)There wasn’t much time for gloating, though, as Kefka cast Meltdown and Thunder at the demon. Chaos hissed angrily, backwinging frantically in an attempt to avoid the spells. Chaos just barely dodged the brunt of the spell, but could not avoid it entirely- the demon was buffeted by the winds from the Meltdown, and hit directly by the Thunder. Electricity crackled across its skin, but even in the midst of that, the demon found the strength to lift the Death Penalty and fire again, dodging and flitting across the sky as the magic wore off.
It's cool
Date: 2010-08-06 09:43 am (UTC)Putting both his wrists together, he charged a large enough Flare and fired it directly at the beast. The wound sparked though as he felt his body yelling at him in pain.

Date: 2010-08-06 11:46 pm (UTC)Chaos disappeared behind the explosive spell, with not even a sound from the creature. Everything was masked behind the energy of Kefka’s casting, and after several moments, the demon had still not appeared once more.

Date: 2010-08-09 10:59 pm (UTC)Instead, Chaos is diving at Chaso from behind, streamlining itself, to attempt to escape notice until the last possible moment, fangs bared in a silent smile. As soon as it is close enough, Chaos raises the gun, and fires once more, straight at Kefka's head.

Date: 2010-08-10 09:15 pm (UTC)However, the command had no affect as he saw nothing vaporize in his sight. The one crutch Kefka had, was lost to this.

Date: 2010-08-10 09:43 pm (UTC)Yet somehow, the spell did not miss- because there was no spell from Kefka, at long last. Chaos powered forward toward Kefka, aiming to slam into the man, with his taloned hand outstretched to reach for Kefka’s heart.

Date: 2010-08-10 10:00 pm (UTC)His head fell as he went silent, however it didn't last long, as a slow laughter came out from the clown. Weakly he stated, "I see...so Chaos truly has come? But not for that which I wished killed..." He laughed some more before looking at him and stating, "I hate prolonged speeches, so do me a favor and finish this!"

Date: 2010-08-11 10:27 pm (UTC)Turning to the side, he noticed his phone managed to drop out and hit a record button. The clown made his dramatic speech (http://community.livejournal.com/mooglenet/383215.html), before his final breaths were exhausted from his body as he lay on the ground, motionless, exhausted of all life, all thought faded to black. The mad laughter had finally been put to a silence
