Characters: Genesis Rhapsodos, Vincent Valentine, Aerith Gainsborough, Cloud Strife, Angeal Hewley and Sephiroth No-Last-Name who is actually dead unconscious.
Progress: Ongoing
Summary: After this, and Gen's call for help has finally been answered.
Location: Wutai
Date: February
Warnings: Blood?
Genesis had gone through probably all the towels this place had before the wound finally stopped bleeding enough for him to get the towels sent off to be washed and used again. Once that had happened he had stripped the General out of his jacket and SOLDIER belt, and got him onto the bed, stomach down. What was worrying the most was that Sephiroth didn't wake up at all. He was stuck in unconsciousness so deep that, if it weren't for the subtle breathing, the redhead would have thought the man dead. And that wasn't something Genesis was willing to believe just yet.
He wasn't sure how much time has passed but even the wing was cleaned and stretched out, laying along Genesis' bed that he pushed over. The wound was a nasty one, not worse than Angeal's or his own had been. But both of them had not bled this much. Genesis had bled a fair amount more than Angeal, probably due to his degradation, but that too, eventually closed. With the help of Hollander anyway. Sephiroth, however, was the perfect subject. So why wasn't the JENOVA cells doing their job? It was both confusing and intriguing. Sephiroth showed no signs of degradation, so what was going on?
So far, Genesis himself felt nothing wrong other than generally being tired. But he had chalked that up to being woken up at night from Sephiroth's constant nightmares and general running around.
Damn it, where were they?!

Getting over her shock quickly, Aerith rushed over towards Genesis' side. "How's he doing?" She asked once she began to shrug off the white cloak she had nestled around her shoulders.
“He’s looking really pale, did you use a potion or medicine on his wounds?"

Date: 2010-02-25 11:31 pm (UTC)Still, he only lingered at the door, after closing it, his arms crossing as he waited on the obvious anger he'd receive from Genesis. He knew he was unwelcome but he had a right to be there. He had the right to know what was happening because it would be him that would have to defeat Sephiroth if anything turned sour.

Date: 2010-02-25 11:52 pm (UTC)Yet he did not step forward, for a moment filled with doubt. Sephiroth had gained his wing, and fallen unconscious. He was certainly hurt by it, since there had been blood everywhere even when Genesis had posted asking for assistance. Who knew what Sephiroth would be like when he awoke from this? There was a large chance that he would be insane once he recovered from this. He had been told of his true origins, of his mother, but that might have only been a catalyst for this insanity. Vincent might have caused the very thing he had been trying to prevent. That thought was enough to make him hesitate.
Finally, he simply stepped forward and knocked on the doorframe with the gauntleted hand. “I brought the potions with me,” he told Genesis, for the moment overlooking both Cloud and Aerith.

Date: 2010-02-26 04:53 am (UTC)He sighed as he looked at the blond, raising his eyebrow but looking more weary than angry. He didn't want any trouble to be caused and while he doubted that Cloud was the type of person who would take advantage of a seriously wounded man, he wasn't so sure about this one. Considering everyone's past with his friend, he wasn't sure about any of the of the people from Gaia.
Ignoring the blond for now, he turned to Aerith. "I used every potion I had and requested more from Vincent and Angeal. The bleeding stopped an hour ago, but the wound still refuses to close."
He turned to Angeal. "Vincent's presence is required as of right now, he can stay if he wishes. Cloud, unless you are going to provide help, I suggest you wait outside."

Date: 2010-02-26 05:38 am (UTC)"Ah!?" Her green eyes just fallen upon the ink black feathers of Sephiroth's wing. Staring at it with an unreadable gaze, Aerith took a brief second to collect herself before focusing on casting a minor healing spell upon Sephiroth. With a warm green glow pooling within her hands, a shimmer of sparkling light fluttered down upon Sephiroth a moment later. Trying to figure out if the spell helped some, Aerith began to weigh out her options of using a more powerful spell.
"Both Cloud and Vincent can be of some help, so don't shun either of them." Those words were for the big guy with the black hair.
"Like Genesis says, the bleeding has stopped but the wound is still gaping wide open. I am guessing its because of...the wing." Her eyes returned to the feathery appendage briefly. "So, we might have to stitch the wound either by hand or hope that my magic can seal it up but that is after cleaning it."
Inspecting the wound carefully, Aerith tilted her head in confusion. “It doesn’t seem to be infected but my magic barely did anything…”

Date: 2010-02-26 05:47 am (UTC)Sighing softly, he frowned and stepped closer to Aerith. "Maybe perform Great Gospel. It doesn't look like your other Limits are working..." He let his gaze wander over Sephiroth, frowning at the man's paler-than-necessary skin and letting his eyes follow the main bone of the wing protruding from Sephiroth's back. That wing haunted his nightmares and black feathers made him unsettled now because of it, but if Sephiroth was to wake up insane, he would have to be willing to fend off not only a crazed enemy he knew well, but his two friends at that. In fact, he was pretty glad Aerith and Vincent were here.
"Nanaki suggested something, Aerith. He thinks maybe Sephiroth came in contact with nethicite. If he did, then the reaction could've caused this." He'd admit that he had felt uncomfortable about Wutai since the moment he'd set foot there, and while he accounted it mostly to the stench of blood, Cloud could clearly feel the nauseas feeling in his stomach.

Date: 2010-02-26 12:20 pm (UTC)Vincent did not openly respond to Genesis allowing him to stay. He simply slipped around Cloud and Aerith to leave the potions close at hand, then retreated to a corner of the room to get out of the way of the other people. He watched everyone in the room with the intensity of a hawk, and followed every movement with narrowed eyes. There was a rigid set to his body, that seemed to say he would step into any fight that might develop, no matter who it was between.
"If nethicite and Jenova are not compatible, as Nanaki suggests, the mako still should cause some healing, unless it is being suppressed by Jenova. The healing magic and potions would not be working for the same reason."

Date: 2010-03-01 01:31 pm (UTC)"If what you say is true, then perhaps it is Jenova fighting the effects of the nethicite that may be causing Sephiroth's weakness. Suppressing the healing effects of mako and other healing magic could be one of the side effects of this."

Date: 2010-03-04 09:42 pm (UTC)"And how would he find out if it is, for certain, this nethicite is the cause. If it suppresses what we carry..." Genesis trailed off, eyes narrowing slightly. Then that would mean...
"I'm degrading," Genesis said, his words hard. "Again."
