This place was so strange to Cissnei. She liked the beach, no doubt, but this... even in civilian clothing (a chunky knit black sweater over a white tank top, skinny jeans and combat boots) she stuck out from the crowd, something she wasn't exactly used to.She noticed the women were rather gratuitous in showing skin and had more than enough laces and ribbons criss-crossing their chests and the sides of their legs. In her messenger back was trusty Rekka, leftovers from the food she bought from Wutai and something that maybe Zack would be vaguely interested in.

She flipped open her Sky Phone and dialed Zack. He shouldn't be very hard to spot, but she'd like to know where exactly he was.

"Yeah, tell me about it. Don't forget to breathe somewhere down the line too. But, he doesn't have to know about the enhancements," Cissnei answered. She was used to whipping out half-truths anyway.

"Oh right, that's a good thing to do, too." Her sneaky little comment made him smirk, though. "You're tellin' me that innocent little you doesn't always support total honesty? That's a shock."

She turned on her heel dramatically and made a very exaggerated look of shock. "Me? No, of course not! You don't know me at all."

And up went an eyebrow, finding her melodrama quite entertaining. "Well, that's a shame. I must be a terrible person." He crossed his arms over his chest, leaning up against a wall.

"Extremely terrible," she said with a grin. Melodrama and joking aside, it was nice not talking business for once. "And who are you trying to impress with that pose?"

"Whatever shall you do with me?" He was glad he knew Cissnei could take his teasing tone. It really was great being able to kid around for once. "Oh, y'know, some pretty little thing might walk by and see what they're missing."

But that, that was designed to get a real reaction out of the redhead.

She pursed her lips and cocked a very high eyebrow. "Really now?" was the only thing she could say. Cissnei wasn't jealous, no, not at all.

He studied her for a moment, noticing that she seemed a bit...stiffer than usual when it came to his womanizing ways. Interesting. The lack of a snappy comeback was noted, as well. "Yep. I'm back on the market, after all. And in my prime. Time's a-wastin'." He interlaced his fingers together and stretched his arms, palms out, smirking quite plainly in Cissnei's direction.

"'Time's a-wastin?'" She repeated with a bite. "You won't be in your prime when I'm done with you," she snapped, quickly following it up with a rapid elbow to his stomach with about one-fourth of her usual force. "Take your damn chocolate with you too."

Okay, so maybe he overstepped his boundaries with that comment. And the elbow to his stomach made that quite clear. He bent over, trying to protect himself from future attacks and reached out for her arm, but not gripping her tightly. He shook his head. "Oh, gods, stop me. I wouldn't be able to take myself seriously."

He gave her an apologetic look. "I'm sorry. That was really mean of me." And yet, he was getting suspicions...

Cissnei flicked the loose piece of hair to further express her irritation then put her arm on his shoulder. "Oh, please, it didn't hurt that much. Man up, SOLDIER." She completely ignored his apology because she was still not very pleased with that comment.

Until she acknowledged it about five seconds later. "You make it impossible to stay mad at you," she told him, an undercurrent of annoyance present.

Zack scrunched up his nose at the hair abuse, but let her use him as a leaning wall. "Did you hear me complain?"

He chuckled after that second comment. "Yeah, I've heard that. I think my Mom is the only person who could do it. Sad, right?"

"That is a little sad," she admitted with a chuckle. "One of these days I'll figure you out and stay mad at you. Or at least figure out what it is that makes it impossible." Cissnei looked at him straight in the eyes. "Count on it."

"She would always get over it, though," he clarified, staring right back into her eyes. "You try that and I'll just keep finding ways to stay impossible." He had to keep the mystery alive, otherwise the fact that he was just as human as the rest of them would come to the forefront. And he was far from perfect.

"Nothing's impossible for a Turk." She flicked his hair again, finding it impossible to break away from staring at him. But she managed to get away and put her hands in her pockets, her other pose of comfort. "Besides, what pretty young thing would want you?"

Zack laughed quietly. "I believe that one." They always seemed to get their noses in everything, even if someone thought it would be impossible. It was good to have Turks on your side, but if they were going after you...that was bad news.

He shrugged. "Who knows? I'm so old, after all." And as soon as the words were out of his mouth, he realized something. "Oh Shiva...I'm almost as old as Angeal was." He really was old.

"Need a walker, grandpa or think you can keep up with me?" she asked as she began to walk backwards to face him. "I'm on my way to being as old as you, unfortunately." She might still have the "teen" part attached, in a few days Cissnei would be twenty.

Joy. She'll be sitting on a rocker crocheting or whatever it was that old people did. Cissnei shuddered at the thought of being useless. She'd rather die in combat that die old.

"I'll use my legs while I still can." He pushed himself from the wall and easily caught up to her. "You're not that old, surely. Unless you're older than twenty-four and look really good for your age." Which, on second thought, was always a possibility. People aged differently, after all.

"Wow, you are old," she blurted as she cocked her head to the side. "Make sure to be extravagantly rich to get yourself a trophy wife half your age."

Sadly enough, she's tailed or known people that fit the description more than once.

He frowned at that and put his hands on his hips. "Now you're just makin' me sounds like a bad guy." Zack walked the line between flirtation and promiscuity nearly every day, but he knew he would never go farther unless it was what he and the other person really wanted. So her words almost offended him.

Cissnei noted the change in accent. "You know I don't mean it." She really hadn't meant to touch a nerve, mostly because she didn't think anything could actually annoy him, much less offend or anger him. She sighed and apologized quickly.

At her apology, he shook his head and smiled again. "Now we're even." They both got a jab in at the other and...

"I can't seem to stay mad at you, either." One of Zack's hands reached out to pat Cissnei on the head before he continued to stroll along.

A pat on the head. Not really what she expected. "You'd be one of the few," she half-joked with a shrug. "Comes with the job." Cissnei kicked a rock she came across lightly, continuing to kick it along a straight path. "Alright, we're even. For now."

This...was such a weird conversation with her. Then again, anyone working for Shinra ended up being weird in the end, so it was unavoidable, he supposed. "What, plannin' on getting me back already?"

"Give a girl a moment to think," she said with a little bit of a strange look on her face. "I mean I could come up with something now but where's the fun in that?"

Cissnei fell quiet. "I think I should be heading back soonish."
